Re: So, I'm making the website!
I would agree with the lighter colour scheme, and I even like the idea of using the blue swatch as the background and the purple swatch as the inner-table, but there's a problem with that... it doesn't match the intro page. At all. We'd have to change the intro page to match, to ease user shock. Seeing two vastly different designs on one site is A BIG DESIGN NO-NO. And that intro page is just too fantastic to change. It's crisp, clean, professional, and aesthetically pleasing. We should be using that level of design as our template.

Huh? Not sure where you're getting the "using the blue swatch as the background and the purple swatch as the inner-table"... must be how I arranged the colours. *facepalms* Sorry. I was just trying to give a visual as to how the colours would look next to each other.

I like this combo.

I think it would match the front page nicely. The background is just about the same color as the second figure in our fabulous logo.

Sorry Sal, you must've posted as I was replying.. I didn't see it.

The colours are great together.
But it still looks "hobbyist".
I desperately want to avoid this.

I made a mock up using the skeletal structure Xanthus made, integrating the index logo and index colour scheme:

That's awesome, but can it be lavender inside the inner panel instead of whatever yellowish color that is?

Also, you're right about the bananas.
Did you know garlic repels fruit flies too? I found that out at home.

Avoiding looking hobbiest is very important I do understand. But I'm with the anti yellow group. but if it looks the best do it.

Updated.
index.html is light purple schemed. Going too dark or vibrant with the purple is pretty much a big design mistake, unless it's for very minor accents, or you're purposefully going for a "high contrast" look... which it doesn't look that we are.

index2.html is the original 'yellowish'. cos of I like that nasty colour *snerk*

I saw that you changed the color, oh mysterious bishie-angel.

I like it better like that. <!-- sBig Grin --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- sBig Grin --> I vote for your page scheme.

Pretty nice looking, Palmer. =3 The yellow-ish is easier on my eyes, but then again, I'm lame and prefer neutral/less saturated/dark colours as opposed to anything brightish. XD Ah well. Nice and professional-looking indeed.
