Simpler might be better. I think the 'Underneath" sentiment is pretty, and that the "This is not" is kind of abrupt. (And it's more positive to focus on what we are, yes?)

"Seeking Truth"

Distasteful silliness comes with every category. It's another one of those things you can't really get around.

I vote for something CLOSE to the old OKA statement, though maybe a tad softer.

I'm afraid "seeking truth" will attract more of a certain kind of folk we've dealt with before.

If it's truth you want, go take a theology class. Or cry in a corner, your pick.

Thing is, the world isn't soft and cuddly. So why not scare off the ones who want a cuddly, convenience-based, hardship-free, fantasy world by cutting to the chase, saying what you mean, and sounding off like you've got a pair while you do it?

Glossing over issues never makes anyone any happier in the long haul, and generally leads to feelings of mutual deceit.
