Temporary False Memories

Anyone else ever experienced temporary false memories like this?

On 2 occasions, while fully awake, I had memories of a life slightly different than mine, but genuinely couldn't remember which was "real" & which was a false memory. Neither seemed to be triggered by anything & neither lasted longer than an hour I think.

I once had the thought "it's almost September, it's almost my Birthday", then realized it was NOT almost September, then realized my birthday is NOT in September, then couldn't for the life of me remember my real birthday & it freaked me out. The day in my mind was September 18 or 19.

I've had a few times where I very briefly forgot my name, but I don't remember these clearly now.

Any opinions?
