I was thinking.
Maybe we should have a different skin to the one we are currently using. I mean, its exactly the same as OKA, isn't that a bit disrespectful to people like Glass and Zilchy?

Re: I was thinking.
It's the default PHPBB3 skin, IIRC, and as such, not tied to OKA in any way more than any other PHPBB3 forum.

That said, I would like some new skins.

Re: I was thinking.
yes, i thought about that too (see my to-do-list). i'd love to, but there are no skins for phpbb3 yet. i was told i could use the phpbb2 ones but they may interfere with the forum performance, that's why i'm going to try it out when there are less people online.

Only if their main site starts looking like OKA did, and if the old "tweaked by zilchy" board skins show up, I'll be mad.

LIES! There are TONS of phpbb3 skins out there, but most of them were custom made for certain niches and only a few exist that are generic. Most of those are recolors of the original skin though.
Also, be careful of old skins, as 3.0.0 is not "backwards compatible" with skins from the RCs.

And don't use the phpbb2 skins, they're horrible to look at, and integrating them successfully is horribly difficult.

Re: I was thinking.
i searched for skins on phpbb.com and there was none for phpbb3. yes, i thought about changing the color scheme myself, but at the moment i'm happy with the changed buttons.

Many skins are available in this forum, though they are, as mentioned, pretty specifically made for other forums. Some of them, however, are pretty nice (I used one from here, just changed it around a bit).

However, THIS may be interesting...

It's super easy to colorize standard boards with it, as it looks like may have been done with this one already. Very easy. Very nice, and works for a few styles of currently released version 3 styles.

yes, those are the un-released (beta) thingies. i have no idea how safe it is to use them, really.

that's awesome! i'll go and make some new color schemes. which colors would you all like? (ugh, i'll have to add the quick reply code to all of them though.)

Re: I was thinking.
Since we already have light blue, how about a darker or medium blue color scheme? And don't forget black and silver.
