As discussed in the 'forums down' thread, we've created a Yahoo group that members can join that the mod team will use to send out emails to if there are problems with the forums or website. It is only a mailing list; there will be no discussions there as that's what the forums are for. <!-- s Wink

Elaboration on that: You need a Yahoo account, but you do not have to use the e-mail address that Yahoo provides to you. After you're signed up, there should be a section under your group settings where you can pick the e-mail address where you'll receive the messages and you can add a non-Yahoo e-mail address.

When we did that, it required us to confirm and the confirmation process involved logging into (one of) our Yahoo account(s).
