Is this possible?

When someone replies to a discussion, is it possible for that reply to be shown in the email alert?

i haven't found a setting or mod for that too. as far as i know, you only get one email per topic until you visit it again, so you would only see the first reply anyway.

I will have to check that out. I belong to another forum that is no PHBB based and you get the reply in your email box. I find that quite helpful when you can do everything from your inbox and not have to click on the link only to find that the response is one that may not call for an answer.
