Smile Hermione's ramblings and memories !
Ill use this thread to dump all my memories of being Hermione as I remember to do so, so as to not clog the forum in several different channels :)

I guess as a first post:

I remember being 4 years old (or maybe 5, but before primary school) and moving house with my parents. There was a boy living nearby who seemed really wary of me for some reason (later learned that this was because he thought I was a muggle). His name was Draco (surprise, surprise) and we slowly became good friends. I didnt understand why he stayed at home all day instead of going to school like the rest of the children, but we'd play in the afternoons and hed want to hear EVERYTHING about my day, which was nice.

One day, I wanted a book off the highest shelf, and then poof, it was in my hands. I thought I was going mad. I was maybe 9 or 10 at the time? I went straight to Draco and started crying, scared I was some kond of freak, but he was really excited and explained that I was a witch and not to tell anyone.

This memory is bittersweet to me because I think it led to solidify his distrust of muggles. If I was a witch, then he never had to reconcile withe idea that he made friends with someone nonmagical. It was fate, to him, I guess, that I was secretly magical, and thats why he liked me.

During this life, the war went on as per my source, but Draco became increasingly protective of me, and even hid me in Scotland for a time. He never really was on the "good" side of the war. I wish his love for me was stronger and enough to change his opinions as a whole, but I was always the "exception" to his otherwise blanket hatred of muggles and muggleborns.

There will be happier memories to come, dont fret :)

RE: Hermione's ramblings and memories !
Thanks for sharing your memories. Interesting to know you two were close (not that I know much about your source) and that you have memories of being so young as well.

Too bad his views didn't change despite him caring about you.
