Given the context of the thread, I can understand how this would be construed this way upon quickly skimming the thread.

Got a specific quote? I just read the post you linked to several times but I can't see any asshole-like word (nor can I even work out what a word that starts with S and ends with D and is related to asshole is . . .) - but then again I do semi-officially have brain fever.

I led you straight to the post in that link... but oh well

The truly humble wouldn't bloody bring it up in the first place.

Uhhh, the row of stars? How in the world could anyone read that as "assholes"? Is it just an assumption that "That person must have meant an offensive word, I will get annoyed just in case" or something? I mean it doesn't even have the right number of stars.

Which means we're back to: "twat" is not vulgar in the British English sense of the word, and the poster who was complained about in public did not even call anyone an asshole, as alleged.

PLEASE someone tell me this thread is about something other than "I don't like Freetha, so I will make up complaints, assume the worst, and publically state those fake complaints and assumptions as fact" . . . because in the absence of any other explanation, that really is what it looks like to me.

Re: Feedback
i go to a forum that states that even if the word is sensord by the person saying it, it still counts as swearing because the intent was still there. then again that forum has a no swearing rule.

i think the word was supposed to be shitheads, not assholes.

also i think this topic is highly unecessary and should probably be locked.

no comlaints against freetha on my part. <!-- sBig Grin --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- sBig Grin -->

As much as I have my personal issues with certain members of this forum, I'd be presenting this information regardless of the individual who went too far as noted by someone I don't personally know to think the comments were out of the proverbial bounds.

Of course, leaving this thread open just implies that there is a desire to continue this discussion publicly rather than privately.

After asking the specific individual, the "censored" word was not intended to be any specific term, but rather a "fill-in-the-blanks" term along the lines of comic book characters swearing by saying "£*&%!"

Re leaving the topic open - I think Freetha can cope, I'm waiting on a response from the OP, and no-one's asked for it to be closed. As such while I find its existence distasteful to say the least, I see no reason to close it.
