It might take a while before the effects display. ^_^ I filled mine in not too long ago.

It would be great if avatars could be bigger than 12 kb... like 20 kb or something.

can't you compress them? saving them as gif usually does the trick.

The one I compressed for Veritas came out to 3kb, 20kb is HUGE!

Pfft, you can save it as a .gif, but it'll ruin the picture. At least that's what happens when I do it. That's why I make mine pngs, the best file type, and just link them from elsewhere.
