It might take a while before the effects display.

can't you compress them? saving them as gif usually does the trick.

The one I compressed for Veritas came out to 3kb, 20kb is
HUGE!
Just ask someone to help compress it.
Pfft, you can save it as a .gif, but it'll ruin the picture. At least that's what happens when I do it. That's why I make mine pngs, the best file type, and just link them from elsewhere.
