I found the problem. When I enter the full link, FF truncates it to otherkinphenomena.org

I think I might have a solution:
Create a second version of the existing template and call it "templatetitle_noranks" or something similar, modify the code in viewtopic.php and remark out the line containing
Code:
param string &$rank_img
Should work.
yes it should, but that's one more template to maintain - how many people actually dislike the rank images? and to what degree?

Do you mean the little purple images that say what we are? I honestly don't like them. I think the purple color clashes with the softer blue colors of the forum and that they tacky. They would look much better on a layout that's got colors to match. I also think they're redundant since we already have our titles under our avatars. *shrug* Just my thoughts anyway.
we had an art contest, and these little thingies won. so either i'm adapting the color scheme, or i'll ask feral to make them blue instead of purple.
as for redundancy, i could simply remove the user title, but then it would be removed for special ranks as well. i'm currently looking for a way to display only special user titles, but nobody could tell me how to do that yet.

That depends on how much time and effort you feel like putting into forum "prettiness". <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->
I'd go for making the buttons blue, but that's probably because it's my favorite color. But if you have time and the desire to do so, go for all three choices as that way everyone's happy.
as much as i like making people happy, all 3 would be a whole lot of work. i'd rather do one thing, my preference is b., but i'll wait for some more opinions.
