Just for fun, wouldn't it be kinda cool to have some sort of iconic 'awards'? Hear me out. Since the admin can change our signatures, what if we all brainstormed some awards that fit with the OP's themes?

Like....

The Hubcap of Shame - awarded for the fluffiest post of the month
Griller Supreme - Awarded for outing trollish ideas
Alice's Looking Glass- Awarded for taking a common topic and putting it on its head
The WTF Medal- Speaks for itself....

Or something like that, those are just off the top of my head. We can snag little images (50x50p maybe) and have a vote or poll each month. Other than being fun, it may garner some interest and people may want to join and say things that mean something even if only to gain an award. And since we have such a small community right now, it might be productive...and if anything, its unique.

Thoughts?

I'm all for giving out titles to people as they are earned, but I don't think a monthly vote, or something along those lines, would hold up for a long time.

I quite like it, but I'm not keen on having the 'Hubcap of Shame' in the lineup. Beliefs, however outlandish they are, are still beliefs, and even though we don't tolerate fluffiness here I don't think it'd be right to hold a vote for a 'shame' award.

If we kept it to more positive, rewarding subjects (for example, 'Truest Post of the Month' - I'm pretty sure I'd seen that on OKA!) it could be popular.

Just my personal 2p, that's all.

That one was mine

But yeah, having some positive awards like "Truest Post" "Most Controversial Topic" "Stupidest Joke" (yes, that's positive) and "Cleverest Quotation" would be fun.

*high-five*

I like those ideas, particularly "Cleverest Quotation".
Positives are good yes, but everyone needs a hubcap of shame *chuckles*
Yeah, I gave out "Truest Post of the Month" honours on OKA through the last few months. Deros is a winnar!

But yeah, I love this idea! I even love the idea of the hubcap of shame... tickles me greatly. Dunno how well that would go over if actually put into action, but it's still a funny

Problem is that there are those that would TRY to get that title.
"Negative" reinforcement is not nice.

I agree. Also, if someone really did speak about an idea that the rest of us deemed fluffy but they hold close to them (because of their beliefs or such) it could hurt that person's feelings. That's really why I'm not keen on that idea.

But still, just my opinion on the matter~
*shrugs* Yeah, I understand about negitive reinforcement and crap, but I was hoping that this wouldn't be made to be so damn vanilla. But whatever, you guys work it out, I'll help later if you need images or something.
