size limit for signature

My old signature banners were 587x125 in size. However I can make smaller versions of them in 353x75 (like chaitea's) or in 475x101 (like mine). I think the max size should be 587x125 because if we go much larger than that, the signature banners will look like they're taking over the forum. Especially if people want to add text to them as well. Sometimes less is more. <!-- sWink --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- sWink -->
i think i recall 500x200 being the limit, including text. does that sound good?

Another option would be 600x200.

I have an example image of that size somewhere....

If that includes text, then yes that sounds good.
max signature length: 255
max links in signature: 5
max font size: 200%
max smileys: unlimited
max sig image width: 500
max sig image height: 200

that's what i could do using the acp.

I would reccomend getting a better CAPTCHA module. I haven't thoroughly checked the PhPbb3 one, but the PhPbb2 one was USELESS, it let spam-bots in like a sieve.

Subforuming is also a good add-on, and there's many very usefull add-ons for the ACP.
kahoku Wrote:- add styles: none available yet for phpbb3. sorry! i'll keep checking back.
Most of the PhPbb2 styles work just fine.
kahoku Wrote:- forum logo and banner: to be announced
I can put some candidates together while I'm working on the site, which I'll probably do some of this evening.

i'll see. there are some nice modules that add a question to the registration process. (i downloaded antibotquestion)

are you sure? on the phpbb forums they say you shouldn't use outdated styles.

I'm running a phpbb2 style on my phpbb3 forum as we speak.

"Shouldn't" and "Can't" are 2 different things.
okay, then i'll look into that when less users are online - you know, just in case.
