So, basically, as I said in my first post in this forum. I have wings. They're kind of scalpel shaped and the structure is turquoise while the membrane is pale silver, occasionally that will shift to sky blue with a white membrane, because in my own mind I see myself as surrounded by quite literally a sky coloured aura, i.e. swirl of light blue and white. These wings just appeared about a year ago, I don't really feel them more see them in my mind's eye and for the most part my brain puts them on the back burner but even when I'm not aware of them I'm more aware of 'otherness'. On top of that, I feel a definite connection to air and a lesser one to water.

The reason I'm not sure whether sylph vs sluagh is that everyone describes sylphid as having bird wings whereas mine are more batlike. On top of that, I find gaveyards very peaceful (not unsurprising really) but I also 'feel' my wings more strongly there, i.e. as tingling energy.

On a sidenote, I very much related to the article about fae glamour, particularly the dark kind, that resonated very much with me so not sure what to think.

Does anyone have any thoughts/experiences to share?

What you mention regarding wings and air makes me immediately think of sylphs. However, try researching yourself and also try focusing on how you feel. You could be a unique sort of creature rather than one based off of existing mythology. Don't take someone else's words for it though.
Seconding what Elinox said about it not necessarily being the case that you are a specific named type in the lore (whether it be sylph, sluagh, or other). The faerie peoples are many and diverse.
After some further thought, I definitely think I am more sluagh than sylph. Though the wings are blue and white relating to air, the bat like quality associates with death in 'my mind so there's that. Question for fae types regarding magic, do you find your natural magical 'energy' takes on a specific form? In my case, my energy is a mixture of blue and lilac-mauve and according to my partner who can read energy takes the form of flames when I spellcast.
To an extent, yes, but I think having some kind of personal form can possibly be true of any being that uses magic/energy, including humans, and not something specific to fae. It might be the case that certain forms are only found among fae, or are more common, but something like "blue/lilac flames" (while it sounds cool) I dunno if it's enough to make some kind of concrete association.
I see entirely where you're coming from. To be fair, the last question was more to get a consensus. It was more the former statement that was expressing the associations I had made for certain.
