It is apparent that this forum, and the circumstances of its conception have a lot to do with the recent shut down of Otherkin Alliance's forum. It is also apparent that this has upset many people, and that many things have been said. I will not tell you that I was not angry, or that the decision did not bother me. These events bothered me greatly, but I have made a resolve to move on from petty actions resulting of the feelings of loss that will only serve to tear apart what we are angry about supposedly losing.

Otherkin Alliance was around for five years, five years of great service and collection of information from the entire community. Five years that were greatly the result of two individuals' hard work and dedication. I personally had too great a time to allow two months of Otherkin Alliance's downfall pervade the several years I was active on the board, and I feel it is an injustice to what we stood for to continue to focus on those two months.

In times of desperation, many things are said. Hurtful words result from stress and loss and tempers, many have said things they may or may not mean, and many things said may or may not be true. In the end though, no amount of screaming, no amount accusations, allegations and rebuttals will return the forum. The only result of this outward aggression will be to stress the two months of downfall, into several weeks of anger and hurt feelings.

Dear members and guests, I announce now, General Order 2.

From here on out, it is the wish of the forum owners here, that any and all negative feelings and statements towards any individual in relation to Otherkin Alliance and its forums or leaders be quelled. What's done is done, let us move on and remember what it was that several individuals, most importantly Glass, has done for us. You might say that Glass destroyed OKA, but I say that if her efforts did not bring us together in such strong bonds on OKA, how many of us would be here? If Glass had not built the house for all of those discussions, the meeting ground for friendships and conferences and debates and support, and not been successful in accomplishing so many of those goals, would any of us have cared all that much when it all went down?
You're absolutely right, Terro. No matter how much we might dislike having OKA taken away, it's still the fact that it was put up in the first place that counts.
*applaud* well said, terro. i agree with everything.
I commend your resolve, your compassion, your insight and though. I agree and am swayed by you.

tl;dr: Hell yeah!
Very nice post Terro, I agree with it totally <!-- sTongue --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- sTongue -->
As always Terro, you are right. Haha, I wish I was able to take the moral highroad as well as you do, guess I still have a lot of growing up ahead of me :3

Kudos <!-- sSmile --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- sSmile -->
Thank you for that statement.
Thank you for addressing this, Terro, in such a diplomatic and enlightened way. You really set a great example and I agree 100% that this community should take the high road. Petty backbiting won't do anything but cause animosity and possible rifts in a community that just weathered a substantial storm. Let's let OKA RIP.
I agree completely, Terro. *bow*
How very Taoist! Don't be sad that something you love has died - be happy that you got to know it in the first place.
