my slightly late intro
Awright, I'm Boyd, and this is my intro. My apologies to the administrators for making two posts before this, I was not aware of the need for introductions.
I am an incarnate angel, but this is not my first time around in this world as a human (according to a person who was once my sister a couple centuries back, whom I trust absolutely). In life, I only know of one other angel aside from myself, and he is fallen. I myself am not fallen though.......or at least, my wings still have feathers and aren't all dark and what not. I joined this site because I was tired of just hanging back and reading articles about otherkin, and wanted to collaborate a little, maybe throw a few theories out, and just have some decent conversation in general with other otherkin, and hopefully have my eyes opened up a little more.

Welcome and thank you for posting an intro (I'm not an admin by the way). How did you come to the conclusion that you're an incarnate angel? Oh, and the dark wings = fallen thing is kind of a myth. Angels tend to be energetic and as such can basically manifest their wings as any color they decide works for them. Colors meaning certain types of angels are often what the angel decides suits them or are human concepts based on the general connotation of certain colors. My wings are darker, but I'm not fallen (or JudeoChristianIslamic for that matter).

Re: my slightly late intro
I came to the conclusion that I was angelic because.......ok, I'm assuming you are familiar with House Kheperu, lead by Michelle Belanger? Well, she has a caste system set for vampirics of Kheperu, warrior, counselor, and priest. A friend of mine, whom I felt a deep connection with from the day I met her and vice versa, is one such vampiric. In fact, the reason I found out about kheperu was because I began research into vampirism after she described her vampiric state to me (she has never heard of kheperu or any of it, not much of an internet dweeb like myself, hahaha). All the traits of "priest" synced up perfectly with her, and she had already mastered every little "trick" kheperu educated vamps about, just intuitively (and the priests are the most versatile of the castes with these little "tricks"). Even Michelle herself has written about having been taught some of what she teaches over the years, it wasn't all just intuitive, yet she discovered these things herself. Powerful.
Anyway, this girl, she dreams.....she dreams well. Dreams of the future, astral projection, dream walking, lucid dreaming, she's got it down pat pretty well. She remembers us in past lives together, brother and sister. One day she told me she'd been having a recurring dream about me, with a voice that kept on repeating "be not inhospitable to strangers, lest they be angels in disguise". She had no belief in angels whatsoever, being Wiccan, but she found it strange. I decided to check for the indicator, and lo and behold, suddenly I realize I've got a pair of wings on my back. Suddenly, I knew there was another person, whom I've described in the "angels and siblings" forum, who was as I was. He laughed at me at first when I suggested, "hey dude, we might be angels", but then I told him to check for wings. Then he awoke. Red wings, leather, all torn up. And he became physically sick, saying he felt like he'd "Killed defenceless beings". He had to block it out.
Anyway, this leads me to a question about vampyres and angelics. This once-sister of mine, she tries to feed as little as possible, being wiccan, "an it harm none, do as thou wilt", she is very ashamed of what she does. I once tempted her to feed off me while she was in deep need. Later on she described my energy as being "addictive". Is this common?
Another question: Terro, in an article I read once, said there was a common aura amongst angels. People always say mine's silver, is this the color he spoke of?

Re: my slightly late intro
Okay...dreams...well, they're often just subconscious brain vomit. They can be symbolic, usually of stuff in *this* life, and have a ton more to do with the dreamer than anyone who might make a cameo in the dream.

Wings...well, lots of things have wings and wings can be symbolic themselves. Some angels don't even identify as having wings, so wings definitely do not an angel make.

As for your energy...does liking a good steak make me a wolf incarnate as a human? Heck no, it means I like a good steak. Same sort of idea...your friend thinks you're yummy...it's not that angels all = a good steak, you just happen to "taste" good to her. *shrug*

welcome to okp!

first of all, nobody can tell you what you are, you have to find it out for yourself.
secondly, as sera has already pointed out, wings are not a good indicator for kin types. i've seen winged cats and even humans.
also, i've met humans with addictive energy.

i'm not trying to sound mean or anything, just trying to keep you from the usual pitfalls.

Re: my slightly late intro
On dreams being random mind vomit: yes, they can be........but they can also be much more than that. The Tibetans had a reason for coming up with dream yoga y'know. They believed there was the mind vomit part, but they also recognized psychic dreams, dreams of past lives, etc. In short, dreams can be more than just mind vomit, and as I said before, my friend is rather gifted in the realm of dreaming. And hey, maybe it was just random mind vomit, but I did turn out to be winged, eh? And the one whom I think of as a brother, he turned out to be winged as well. Fallen/exiled too, which I had often thought of him as even before. None of the people, not I, not him, not her, believed in such things as angels, and had never heard of "otherkin", or phantom limbs of this variety, yet we all accepted it upon learning. Maybe I'm just some random winged thing......but I think not.

Re: my slightly late intro
Well, some perfectly non-kin plain old human soulled humans experience phantom wings. Some therians experience phantom wings, etc. etc. Some angels *don't* experience phantom wings. All we're saying is that phantom wings do not automatically make someone an incarnate angel. They can mean all kinds of other things.

The keyword on dreams is *can be*. They *can be* prophetic, having to do with past lives etc, but are most often subconscious brain vomit...and there is no way to definitively prove one way or the other which it is.

We're all just saying to take it slow...gather whatever personal evidence you have and then see what it may or may not mean as opposed to trying to squish everything you experience into the label of "angel".
