Re: how do you pronounce therian?
I say it as ther-eee-an. Several other people I've met in real life say it that way too, so I'm assuming that's right.

I pronounce it ther-ii-ehn, with a soft "th"

Re: how do you pronounce therian?
Definitely a soft -th, like in thorough or through, or thoughtful.

I think I've been pronouncing that wrong. D:

THEAR (like the first syllable of the word 'theory') - ee - an.

Soft -th?

I've always pronounced "thoughtful" or "thorough" with the same "Th" you pronounce "Thursday" with.

Which, last time I checked, is a hard "th." Soft "th" is "these," or "the" or "that."

I pronounce Therian like "Thair-ee-en" with the TH like "Thursday."

If you say it repeatedly and hurried, the hard "th" turns into a soft "th", but so does anything else with that sound. XD

Of course, I suppose my pron. differs.

This is why this alphabet sucks for comparing pronunciations. If you were beside me I'd just write it out in IPA as opposed to people guessing that you-say-words-as-I-say-them. No, I can't be bothered posting IPA on here.

Re: how do you pronounce therian?
Thursday is a soft -th for me. It is aspirated. Not much vocal involvement unlike the vibration that occurs with... well... That. There. This. Then. My pronunciation is of the west-coast variety. Like that used in many movies. I know other parts of the US pronounce things differently, but I had assumed the general idea would get across by first mentioning the soft -th.
