for those spirit animals
stormchoirs Wrote:ok, for those of us who might be spirit animals (spirits in physical animal forms though not really incarnate), such as myself (white spirit wolf) since we are both spirit and physical, would we be therians, or something else??? I've been told it would probably end up being layed down to personal choice, but I was wondering what any others like myself think about it.... personally, I haven't got a clue as to what we would be concidered...

Re: for those spirit animals
I'm wondering how a spirit animal would fit into a human body?

I mean, I obviously understand about otherkin & therians, grin, but would you be a spirit animal's spirit or soul, within a human's body? How would you know you were a spirit animal versus a "regular" animal? It's interesting!

That sounds like a totem animal to me.

Link's bad. That forum's not there anymore.

My personal choice is therian. They're animals, sometimes even coming from "normal" animals.

Yeah, all the links went bad after we made the final move here. But the original post is at the top of this thread.

RE: for those spirit animals
I considered I might be therian but nope there are many differences in our experiences.

I have experienced distortions in time (such as feeling like I've been transported in time or caught in a looping eddy in time), therians generally do not.

I have experienced feeling physical/emotional sickness when the wolf was near the front of the conscious mind. It felt like rotting death, but therians are alive.

I have experienced a phantom walking beside me, not phantom limbs. In my mind's eye the phantom appeared like a stereotypical ghost would look like a whitish translucent mist in the shape of a wolf.

I do not experience animal instincts other than human.

I have feelings I may have mistaken for wolf submission, but I think it is more like divine service oriented rather than hierarchy oriented.

To answer the question of how the spirit fits in the body, lol. The spirit is not solid or even tangible.

It is not a totem. I considered there might be a totem, especially when the spirit seemed to be "other" and "not me," but this is indeed me. I think it's psychological in origin but there might be spirituality.
