Your name makes "Princes" sing!
Hello all,

I had the thought cross my mind, so here me out. I'm trying to get inspired to do some more poetry, the more the better.
Since I work primarily with music and name inspiration, I thought I'd throw this out there. If you post a name here, preferably you user name or current spiritual title, I'll see about doing a poem for you. There WILL be some rules though.

---

1) I reserve full rights to my work. If I want to publish a poem based on your name I will. By posting here you understand that you do not have any rights or say how I use the poems. In turn, you may also use the poem anyway you choose. You will NOT take credit for the creation of the poem, as I will write it.

2) Simply post your name. Don't make any suggestions or anything, I will write what I'm inspired to write. Know though, that I will respect your name and will PM you the poem first. If you like it, I will post it in the main forum, if you don't like it it will be tossed out for none to see. Poems will be inspired by name only and may or may not represent you personally.

3) One poem per name. You may post up to three names for submission. But please post them ONE AT A TIME.

---

I should also mention that I've published a book of poetry called "The Roseblood Poet". Please support me with a 2.00 download of the ebook (the print book is 9.99 before shipping). The link can be found in the plugs section. Thanks in advance!

THE NAME POEMS

A Little Bell ( for littlechris )

A little bell rings
in the old steeple.
It travels onward
over the mull hills,
Through the tall mountains,
to the very last
of time’s ticking song.
Everyone hears it
as they mull around
day in and day out
‘til the very last
Of man is long gone.
A little bell rings.

Chalice ( for Veritas )

Drink from the chalice
of life and death.
Never feel malice
‘til your last breath.

Fight with a reason.
Take peace with you.
Change with the seasons
and be made new.

Don’t listen to hounds
as they bark jeers.
Ignorance abound,
blind to your tears.

For the cross you bear,
Is too heavy
for those with no cares,
No life’s –levy.

But you carry it.
This burden is
No personal hit.
It’s your Chalice.

Sand Trap ( for Taiaka )

He rides through the sand
as it burns his face
But at his command
His horse quickens pace.

Does he run away
in mortal’s famed fright?
Lost in the dark day,
sand blotting out light?

As each grain-grit falls
in the world of glass,
unbroken, it calls,
as he tries to pass

through the barrier
time instilled for all.
As he travels near
The source of the fall.

The soul is broken,
he rides all the same.
He claims a token
of endless acclaim.

But his horse is dead
and his sand is spent.
At once, filled with dread
He tried to repent.

But the glass holds more
Than the world of man.
Was he doomed before
his journey began?

[i]The May Bells ( for Ashiel (Lophiel) )

The May Bells chime
in early summer time.
The lady waits,
silently contemplates:
Should I go in?
Not to would be a sin?
The May Bells slow
as she sits far below,
wondering in wait
is it too late?
The May Bells still
and the lady feels ill.
But he appears,
taking back all her fears.
The May Bells sink,
giving her time to think.
She leaves with him,
in the bell’s silent Hymn.

The Well of Lies ( for Shiari )

Barefoot, those steps shook.
With baby blue eyes
she went out to look
in the well of lies.

Snow falling around
her as she stood there.
She sank to the ground
ever unaware.

The bucket did sway
as the stranger came
to take her away
and bury her name.

But the snow did melt
long after her death.
Then again was felt
spoken on her breath

The Wolf Lord ( for DivinityWolf )

The old wolf lord limps away,
gored from the most vicious fray,
into the snow-covered peak
where he lay wounded and weak.

His gray fur mixed with the ice
Until flesh seemed like a vice.
Bones bore a fresh skin of snow
as the wolf rotted below.

He rose from the mortal rot
As his son’s downfall did plot.
The old wolf lord made of ice
did make his pack pay the price.

Three gold Coins ( for Rauthiss )

A Wanderer waits with his cup
upon the ground for alms.
As people pass he lifts it up
into his filthy palms.

First comes a wealthy noble man
dressed in his finery.
“Please my lord, help me if you can,
I’m so very hungry.”

The noble one just turns away
and fleetly flies with grace
leaving the wander that day,
in the wake of disgrace.

Next comes the hardest working one
who proceeds much the same.
When he refuses the question
he too walks on in shame.

Lastly there comes the unknown kin
Who lets three gold coins fall.
But the rank scent of blood and sin
the man’s senses does call.

“Kindly sir, do not walk away!
Pray tell where you got these?
They smell of evil’s rotten sway
yet you claim them with ease…”

The unknown one smiles as he turns
and not a word he told.
The wanderer, his lesson learned,
felt his own blood run cold.

The coins begin to glow bright red
as the kin fades from sight.
The wanderer trades them for bread,
Basking in the sunlight.

Wouldn't it make more sense to just post the poems here under your first topic related to it?

EDIT: Merged.

Fair enough I figured they'd get a bit long if they were stuck together but meh, whatever works :3 (I seem to be giving you mods something to do xD. )
