Tron: Legacy (2010)
I saw it in 3D at the theatre, accompanied by my guy.

Plot is lacking, but visuals absolutely blew me out of the water, as did Michael Sheen and the score by Daft Punk.

Have any of you seen it, and what are your reviews?

Re: Tron: Legacy (2010)
I loved Daft Punk......and then I heard the Tron Legacy soundtrack. IMO, it's the worst they've ever done, despite being their most well-received album. I got it two days before it came out, and I was really disappointed.

Wow, that... actually surprises me. Hahaha. Every other Daft Punk fan(atic) in my IRL circle has nothin' but love for the soundtrack.

Still, to each.

Re: Tron: Legacy (2010)
Just saw it. Fucking loved it. Animal Farm meets I, Robot. Wow.

The only criticism I have is when Tron rebooted blue, a whole lot of weight was given to that moment but it was then ignored. I guess it was there to tease for a sequel, but it could have been handled better ... eg perhaps a rebooted Tron being involved in the final battle with Clu.

Loved the (not very subtle) subtext of Tron, Clu and Sam being in various ways the babies of Flynn Sr and Alan Bradley.

Amazing effects ... not so much the 3D, which I could take or leave, but the de-aged Bruce Boxleitner and Jeff Bridges were amazing. It was usually clear that Clu was a digital effect, but that was so appropriate for him it didn't bother me at all.

Of course I grew up on the original Tron, watching it was like revelation and it's probably the reason why I love all things technical and am currently designing a Lego case for a Frankenputer I put together last week ... so I'm not entirely neutral on this, heh heh.

Those five words make me actually want to see something I was all "meh, nah" about before.
Damned Archer!
