Totally OT - sleep positions
Sooo . . . do y'all have just one sleep position that you almost always use? For those that change, do you use one for all/most of one night and another for another night, or do you change throughout the night?

No reason, just curious!

Re: Totally OT - sleep positions
my chronic cold sometimes forces me to sleep on my back, otherwise i couldn't breathe very well. if that's not the case, i sleep on my side, legs slightly bent, with the blanket up to my ears.

i guess a psychologist could make a whole personality profile from that...

Re: Totally OT - sleep positions
I sleep on my left side for the most part, slightly curled up, the blanket wrapped around me as best I can.

Re: Totally OT - sleep positions
Most of the time I can't fall asleep unless I'm on my stomach, others I can fall asleep curled up on my left side with my body pillow. Most of the time I wake up on my back, however. No idea when the flip takes place.

Re: Totally OT - sleep positions
Most of the time in a bed it's sleeping on our stomach, head to one side. We're not too fussy where we sleep - we've fallen asleep sitting up at a desk, on the floor, on a sofa, when we're sitting on the stairs reading or playing the Game Boy (lolretro).

We haven't slept leaning against the wall, yet. But it's only a matter of time.

Rizumu can sleep with her knees tucked under her, her body slightly raised. She wakes up with her neck stiff though, so she doesn't often do that.

Re: Totally OT - sleep positions
I almost always fall asleep half on my side, half on my front, with one leg (the one on which side I'm sleeping 1/2 on) straight, the other bents so the knee's almost to my chest, and I tend to use my arms for a pillow. Then I tend to either toss and turn to the point I don't get any rest, or toss and turn slightly less in a drugged up state and get a little rest.
Sel usually wakes up once or twice to my knees and elbows, so when I don't get any rest, he doesn't get any rest.

Re: Totally OT - sleep positions
I always fall asleep on my left side. I think it dates back to when I was little and I felt that I had to sleep facing my bedroom door in case anyone or anything came through the door at night. It's just a habit I've kept to this day (although I don't face the bedroom door any more, now the monsters will get my husband first!). However, I wake up in other positions; on my back, on my right side, on my left side. But I can only ever fall asleep on my left side.

I sleep on my right side for most of the night because my dog curls up in the crook of my knees...I rarely move from the position and the only time I do move is when I wake up to use the restroom in the middle of night XD...and you can tell because my hair's a fuzzball on my right side XD
