"The Book of Angels"
We were in Barnes and Noble and there was a book titled "The Book of Angels" that looked interesting. We flipped through it and it looked good (not entirely sure if its any amount of accurate).

Has anyone ever seen or read this book? If so, what did you think of it?

Re: "The Book of Angels"
Barnes and Noble, eh?

I'd say it's probably a pretty good book, but diluted. I'm pretty sure that the majority of the population wouldn't be able to handle the *entire* truth, and so only a bit was given, though it quite possibly is accurate. [not that I have read it, but going off of what you have told me]

I would go ahead and read it, personally, as I don't see how it would be a bad thing if you take it with a skeptic's view.

That name is so generic that it's hard to tell if it's one of the ones we've skimmed or not. If you see it again, could you grab the author's name and/or ISBN?

Will do and since we're hoping to get it for either our birthday or christmas, we'll at least have the name in a few weeks.

On the cover, there's a painting of an angel holding a sword.

XD quite possibly, lol, and probably. We only had a little bit to glance at it.

it's a really big book, at least height wise: about a 1.5 ft X .5 ft

Big old purple book? I got that one for Yule two years back. I don't lean on it as a source of information at all... I just like the artwork <!-- sSmile --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- sSmile -->

Re: "The Book of Angels"
I agree that the artwork is phenomenal, as far as information, it's accurate in what it says, but very general.

By accurate I mean in the sense of text and scripture reference. It gives a good idea on Angels from Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and makes references to other religions and examples of Angelic phenomena worldwide and throughout history. However you'd best go to more source material for in depth study.

You meant this one?
