So just stick with laundry thing. There's a white sock/soul, and a red sock/soul. They don't become a pink sock together, but the white one turns pink. Or gets pink spots. Or whatever. I never actually put red socks in with white socks, so I don't know. A. is that possible? B. Is that still a soul merge? SInce I still have no idea what a soul merge exactly is.
Yes, this is possible, and in fact I would say it is common.
Have you ever loved someone, and had them die, and felt like part of you went with them?
Been so close to someone you find yourself with some of their traits and personality quirks?
Tied up with a person to the extent that on the one hand you don't feel quite "right" when they aren't physically around, but on the other hand you feel fine because you know that person is somewhere?
In my experience, it is not uncommon for what makes a person a person to "bleed over" into someone else, like sock dye running. In fact I'd say if you are especially close to someone (either in a negative or positive way) and spend a lot of time around them, it would be unusual if you *didn't* bleed over into each other.
As for you not knowing what a soul merge is - as has been said on this thread before, it is a very vague and woolly term referring to two souls being connected in some way,
which has absolutely no strict definition and as such means no more or less than the user wants it to mean.
