Roller Coasters
Mostly for the flyers...what do you think of roller coasters? Love 'em or hate 'em?

I've always hated them, and so did my Dad, and he seemed to be some kind of flyer too even if he'd never go for this otherkin business. But we both enjoyed the suspension type rides where the seat is allowed to swing and take the g-forces as nature intended it.

I just got back from taking the kids to the amusement park. I completely loved the parachute ride! Not real parachutes, but it was suspended from the top and allowed to swing. It really felt like flying, not that horrible, jerky, falling sort of ride. I closed my eyes and could almost go to sleep on it even though I was being flung around in the air at a good speed.

Re: Roller Coasters
Was scared of them for a while, find them fun now. Nothing to do with my 'kin.

Re: Roller Coasters
EDIT: Ugh. Sorry for my screw-up. Moved the topic to Off-Topic, then back to Otherkin General - I thought you meant roller-coasters in general, and I didn't get what you meant entirely by 'flyers' when I read it the first time 'round. This is what two hours of Hamlet does to you. ._.

On topic ... I'm not a flyer as far as I know. I do love the sweeping of roller-coasters, but the seats HAVE to feel somewhat secure. In a amusement park near us, there's a stand-up roller-coaster with torso harnesses that come down over your head and hold you in place - it was fun, but I really did not like how I felt I was going to fall out any moment.

Maybe I have bad past-life experiences with falling from great heights? Who knows. ^_^;;

Thanks to Elinox for the banner!

Re: Roller Coasters
Hate them. I don't like the idea of having no control over my movement.

Re: Roller Coasters
Love 'em! And lucky for me, Hershey Park is less than 20 minutes away and I have a season pass! I love the hanging coasters, and anything that's got loops, but I'll try anything at least once. There's one at Hershey that's got a slingshot start (goes 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds) and it's a very smooth and fast ride. I haven't tried their new one yet, it's got a 97 degree angle that's wicked! I also love the wooden coasters, fast and very rickety. My Uncle was the roller coaster nut of the family and the Comet at Hershey was his favorite rides ever. I continue to ride it for him.

One of my favorite coasters ever has got to be Medusa of Six Flags. The Great Bear and the Superdooperlooper at Hershey are also favorites. So anytime anyone wants to come hang out at Hershey, let me know!

Yup, same here. Especially since I don't have wings.
