Reintroduction
Hey!

I go by Faite in most communities. I am 21, biologically female, but identify as androgyne/gender-fluid. I live in the Chicago area. I am a celestial and a therian. Personally, I identify as mentally coyote. I discovered this based on my shifts. Initially I wasn't sure what I was, but my generally involuntary mental shifts and the hints of phantom shifts I got seemed distinctly canine. My behaviors out of shifts seem quite animal (most say canine), but generic. For years I found it tough to pinpoint my theriotype. After I realized I can't really pinpoint my theriotype that well from just my generic canine feelings and behaviors, I decided to look into my shifts. I realized that I was smaller than a wolf, but wolf-like, howled, and moved my head up and down a lot. I still wasn't sure.

One night, I had an extremely intense mental shift, and was terrified during it...basically a simultaneous panic attack and mental shift. I remember "bristling", and snarling with a wide open mouth, and very lowered head. I had no idea what animal this might be. Soon after, I happened to speak with a friend who knows a lot about coyotes, and she mentioned that coyotes growl with wide-open mouthes. She proceeded to show me a picture of a coyote growling, and my literal reaction was, "Oh my god! That's it". I literally said "Oh my god!" outloud!

Following this, based on research and other images that just felt exactly how I feel during shifts, I determined that my theriotype is in fact coyote.

I also used to think I was a demon, but I am more likely a chaotic celestial of sorts. Demon may not be my answer, I have found after a good deal of soul searching. As for my particular celestial type...I don't really feel comfortable sharing until I am comfortable here <!-- sWink --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- sWink -->

Nice to be back! I know I haven't been particularly active in the past.
