RL comedy moment
So I come home after it's dark, and I see my aunt in the front room watching TV. I don't want to tap the window because it might annoy our cat, who is asleep. So while the door is being unlocked I stand and wave to get her attention. She looks around, and kinda glares at me, then looks back at the TV. I'm thinking "Huh?" so I dance about a bit more - she looks again but just looks generally annoyed, and again looks back at the TV.

So I go inside and ask why she was glaring at me, and this time she's all "Huh?" So I tell her that I was waving at her and she looked at me then looked away without smiling. So she says she didn't even see me. I'm all "What do you mean you didn't see me? You looked out, twice!" She then responds:

"Oh, was that you? I thought it was a shadow."

Boom boom! Some days I love my life <!-- sWink --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- sWink -->

Nice. My parents seem to peg me as ninja-like, though they do recognize that I'm pretty much nocturnal. ^,-,^

Re: RL comedy moment
It gets better!

So, my rather emo uncle is visiting. I say emo. He's in his late 70s. So you get the idea.

Anyway, we get to talking about the Jungian concept of Shadow persona, and how to deal with one. He said that he's trying to get to know his Shadow, but his first instinct on becomming aware of it was "To beat the living shit out of it!"nSo obviously I'm trying hard not to laugh at all of this.

Today, I was looking something up on my computer for him. On the wall beside my desk is my "shadow gallery" - consisting of seven pieces of artwork of various shadows. My uncle sits down, glances at the wall, does a massive double take at it, then just FREEZES silently for a good thirty seconds.

Truly hilarious <!-- sBig Grin --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- sBig Grin -->

Right. He's in his late 70's and (you think) he's emo? <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->
