Psychic Vampirism & The US Military
I was watching random TV a couple months ago and the History Channel was doing a special on Vampirism with a lot of tie-ins to modern culture and subculture and whatnot. Name of the show was 'Vampire Secrets'.

One thing that was brought up was a study the military did on Psi-Vampirism.

According to the researcher in charge of the study at the end his final notes included a quote to something of the tune of:

"I am thouroughly and truly convinced that psychic vampires DO exist."

They did a lot of energetic photography and studies (like Kirlian Photography) and documented a lot of different auras and the ways in which they interact.

They showed that psychic vampires auras show up as a completely different color and pattern than normal people and when the two interact, the psi's aura flares and becomes stronger while the normal person's aura weakens and becomes erratic and subdued.

What I also thought was really odd was, though the initial effects of this wear off after only a few hours, there are lasting marks and eccentricities to the normal person's aura that last for WEEKS!

I don't know why exactly, but the thought of the military doing experiments regarding this kind of thing irks me. Guess I'm just naturally paranoid.

Yeah, I know how you feel...but if you think this is the most distressing thing the military's done regarding energy work and the occult, go take a look into the "Remote Viewing Project" (that's a military project name, not a book name), it's declassified now and some pretty wild stuff.

I have a book on it I just got, I'll report on it's quality after I read it.

No, what Gaarik was talking about was some kind of telekinesis experiment, and still either classified or at least FOUO.

It makes me wonder what else they research without most people knowing.

Dr. Joe Slate wrote a book (Psychic Vampires, IIRC) written about research on vampirism and the human aura that was primarily facilitated by the US government.

Indeed he did.

The program Vampire Secrets on TLC/Discovery has been overplayed, and most of the vamp community liked it when it first came out, but from an information standpoint, the program does little but expose the intent of the community leaders to try and be more progressive, and it highlights the negative occurrences in the real vamp community.
Example:
Susan Walsh
And how they quoted Michelle Belanger (who I happen to know personally, and she HATES this) as saying
Michelle Belanger Wrote:Ms. Walsh was the kind of girl who had a penchant for sticking her nose where it didn't belong.
She said that she was going to add that "she probably got a bit too close to the mafia and they did away with her," but the producers cut it after this ominous line and let it stand. All for the sake of "ratings" I suppose.

At any rate, most murderers who claim to be from the vampire community aren't anyone we (the people in the community who have been there for YEARS) have met, spoken to/with, associated with, or in any way established a connection with. Further distancing ourselves from the negative stereotype that we're all latent killers just waiting for the right moment to take advantage of someone and kill them (think Rod Ferrell).

Re: Psychic Vampirism & The US Military
Is Rod Ferrell the kid who was a heavy VtM roleplayer and he and his girlfriend (Heather?) wound up murdering her parents? Or is this another kid whose fantasy life went overboard? It's so annoying how people insist on finding something to blame - in this case, the vampire community - instead of holding people 100% responsible for their crimes. (Also, trying to peh Columbine on Manson's music and the Goth community )

The government does all kinds of freaky experiments. I'm not sure if this is hearsay or not, but didn't they experiment on soldiers with LSD? It sounds farfetched and I wish I remember where I heard this.

"Someday after we have mastered the winds, the waves, and gravity, we will harness for God the energies of love; and then for a second time in the history of the world, human beings will have discovered fire." - Teilhard de Chardin
