Possibly elven?
I myself am a polymorph. But one of the people sharing this skull with me (his name is Alex) might be an elf. If he is, well... we're not sure. Even Alex isn't sure. If he is an elf, he's a mal-adjusted one. He gets frustrated and angry with humans and their world frequently, and claims to hate them but in reality he loves them and wishes they would hurry up and grow up already. He's ill suited to this world, finds something to complain about pretty much everything. He's funny when he wants to be. But usually he's like Oscar the Grouch, only not as pleasant.

He played for awhile with the idea that he might be a Dark Elf, but gave up on that. We strongly suspect he is some kind of elf, though, because two people whose psychic powers were rather astonishingly proven mostly accurate to even him (skeptic that he is) have sensed Elf in Alex.

Has anyone ever heard of a constantly-grumpy Elf? We figure it's possible, since they have so much in common with humans (though much wiser, smarter, and elegant, among other things, than humans).

Other info:
1. The body has always had an interesting grace, in that, as long as we aren't all trying to drive the body at once or doing something stupid like trying to ride a bike without using our hands, we almost never fall. Whenever we trip, we barely move before we've caught ourselves.

2. Unusual natural knack for magick, when we're in the mood for it. Hardly practice magick at all, but when we do it comes as easily as breathing. We've even used magick to travel within our mind and do self-healing shamanic work (I, Pi, am the result of this). Even casual magick like changing stoplights and calling on luck come easily when we're in the right mindset (ie, not stressed or depressed).

3. Alex's gender seems to be androgynous male.

4. Alex seems to be a warrior type, trying to defend the innocent. Unfortunately, when he does defend innocents, he does it angrily... and anger tends to reduce his capacity for rational thought.

Well what does Alex look like? I'm sure there are many races that also have the qualities you've mentioned. As to psychics telling you that Alex has elf in him, just know that they can be wrong about things no matter how much they have been able to prove their ability to you. Everyone can have an off day.

Re: Possibly elven?
Hating humans is not exactly an elven trait, nor is being grumpy >.=.<

I find my elven side gives me this feeling of inner peace, like I am apart of something bigger.

Even Darks elves where never really grumpy angry and filled with hate yes but not grumpy.
Drow a form of fictional Dark elves often delight in backstabbing their neighbour.

Elves do have the knack for magic but that does not mean your counter part we are discussing is an "elf".
After all other beings could use magic naturally like dragons for an example.

Androgynous male does not exactly describe a male elf in my opinion, a male elf is faintly but noticably male to the person with a good eye, only an shear moron would mistake a male elf for a female elf. But then again near identical twins can through that out of the window <!-- sTongue --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- sTongue -->

A little off topic but riding a bike with no hands is easy... Anyways, did you tell these people with 'psychic powers' (or did they already know) about Alex and you suspicions that he is Elven before they scanned? Because that could cause biased scan results no matter how much ability they actually have...

I do not think that personality traits are relevant to what someone's race/species is.

I think they are "potentially" relevant, but there's no way to verify whether they're related or simply genetic in nature.

Re: Possibly elven?
I'll clarify.

Some personality traits could possibly be relevant. To use an Earth example, British people tend to be more reserved and introverted than Americans. But the range of personality traits in people of any one culture is far greater than the difference between the averages. As such, even if someone is so shy they can't even say hello to the bus driver, they could still be American.

Likewise, while some personality traits could potentially be more common in elves, dragons, shadows, or whatever . . . every single personality trait I have ever seen mentioned on an otherkin forum is also 100% normal for humans. As such, I don't see that they're either useful or relevant when discussing kin type.

We didn't even suspect him of being nonhuman when they mentioned the elf thing.

Alex is tall, has brown hair, blue eyes, is handsome and male, but androgynous. Basically he looks like the body, except slimmer and without freckles, and has shorter hair. And looks male.

Svaenohr...for the third time this morning (and I hope the last) I've merged your threads. The edit button is there for a reason and you can easily quote multiple people in one post as the rest of us do. So please stop posting after yourself constantly and use the edit feature.

From what you've written and my own intuition I'm going to say that Alex isn't an elf. I have never heard of an elf being androgynous before. Maybe there are elves that are androgynous and I've just never heard about them. Was Alex the one that was born into the body? I ask that since you have said he looks like the body.
