Please allow me to introduce myself...
Please allow me to introduce myself...

My name is Ouroboros, but you can call me Ouro for short...

I am a Southern California native in my mid twenties, making a living working for a local water company. Though I someday aspire to follow my dreams in a more long-term fashion, I am comfortable doing honest work and pursuing my dreams in my spare time. I have been a student of the esoteric since my early teens, and a practicing pagan since I was about 16. I have always felt close to both nature and the often peculiar behavior of spirits that reside in the realms. It only made sense to me, even from an early age, that I had a unique connection to those spirits... little did I know that I was ONE of them.

Very recently, I began my awakening - the culmination of years of both wonder and bewilderment. After experiencing a series of rather unsettling dreams and visions, and going through the trials of several unruly spirits, the vision of my true form finally became clear to me. I am a Hobgoblin, incarnated (at least in part) into a human body. I possess many of the abilities I had in that plane, as well as several newly acquired ones... both from my current lifetime and from the continued influence of my brethren (especially as of late). Of course, many of these abilities can be viewed as destructive, and require a measure of discretion that a human might find difficult. But hopefully, the continued relationship I have with my previous plane of existence will help to refine those abilities a bit more.

I look forward to chatting with all of you, as well as sharing my ideas about how to better the community as a whole. I always interested in lively conversation, but I would most appreciate insight into the full spectrum of faekin that exists outside of your garden-variety fairy (no pun intended ).

Safe journeys

Hello and welcome!

For those of us that don't know, could you explain what you mean by "hobgoblin"?

I feel like I just welcomed you...probably because I just did over at OKC.net lol. So once again, welcome I second the questions already asked and add: how did you distinguish between hobgoblin as a kintype and hobgoblin as simply a form comfortable to you when journeying/traveling via the astral/etc.?

Re: Please allow me to introduce myself...
As I explained in OKC, my true form maintains itself, while astral forms tend to be superfluous and variant.
The abilities I have come to understand vary from simple persuasion to highly effective manipulation, as well as the ability to channel spirits and astral project - spontaneously
As far as a definition for hobgoblin, that all depends on the tradition. But generally speaking, a hobgoblin can be best understood as larger and more intelligent than the average goblin (though many goblins are quite clever), and highly mischievous to the point of downright vengeful at times. It is said that hobgoblins can weave nightmares out of gossamer, and French Lutin/Lutines are thought to be able to blink in and out of existence at will.

One night when I had to go to bed earlier than my other brother, I remember he went down the street to talk to his friends. I couldn't go to sleep, so I tossed around my bed a bit thinking about various things... I remember everything went black, and then I saw the top of my ceiling; I kept going until I was outside flying over my house... my body flew over to where my brother and his friends were, and I listened in on their conversation. He came back into our room, I remember saying, "Why were you talking crap about me?"... Much to his confusion
