Past lives[?] (I hope this goes here)

As some of you read in my most recent post, I used a Ouija board. Apparently E, the man we[JayCee and I] spoke to the most knew quite a bit about us. He said he got his information from 7,543 beings that knew about me. Two of which knew me in a past life.

In one of them, he said, I was a man born in 1722. It might not have been clear but I asked my name and he told me it was Mace Dabe Dabcab. He told me I lived to be 21 and I had 73 lovers[Most of which were male because I was homosexual]. O_O I had two younger siblings, which are the two beings he got information from that knew me. One was a male, one was a female. I had no children, which is weird. Nor did i have any STD's, which is even stranger. I was murdered in 1743 by a woman over money issues.

The second he told me, when I asked him if I was ever a wolf, that I was. 64 years ago, in 1935, he said I was a female wolf that lived to be 10 years old. That's pretty old.

By the way, 2009-64=1945, not 1935.

And I agree with Min in that anything done with the Ouija board should be taken with a large helping of salt. While Ouija boards have been around for centuries, they were made popular by Parker Brothers as a game in the 70's. I used to play around with a Ouija board and while it was fun and sometimes a bit spooky, I never really asked it any deep questions because of the risk of getting my hopes up from intentional or unintentional sabotage from either myself or others using the board with me. It can be fun to do and occasionally give you some insight, but it should be rememebered that it's still supposed to be a game.

Also, of course the Ouija board was turned INTO "just a game", but when you're dealing with actual spirits, it isn't just a game. I don't classify communicating with another being as a game. To me, it's just having a conversation with someone you cannot see.

I'll go ahead and state that I don't believe him and his information, because you should never believe ANYTHING a spirit tells you, because you cannot trust them. I just thought it would be fun to share what happened and what he told me with all of you. I was expecting more along the lines of comments on how interesting it is, not to be taught things...

We were under the impression that it was originally a game and not turned into one, and would be interested if anyone has information to the contrary - but that's idle nerdliness, not a criticism of the method.

We've incorporated game-like elements into our own energy work and consider such elements fair game. There has been some crossover between games and magical tools and to us it makes sense. A game board or piece is a tool; so is a card or stick or stone used for divination - the intent means more than the original use for which it was manufactured.

A lot of people on this board are here for learning, self-discovery, and introspection and a decent number of those (our whole system included) prefer it with no punches pulled. Disagreements are handled by presenting the facts and, generally, accepting that once the facts have run out everyone is going to have zir own conclusion and there's no forcing any other result. It's the local culture, so to speak. It's the response everyone gets, here, and you're free to accept it or not as you wish. It's not intended as a personal attack.

If you wanted to be patted on the back and told what a good show - you are on the wrong forum for that. No, the response that you got is pretty much the response we'd have expected you to get. Cause in your first post there is no sense of 'I don't believe what they told me because they are spirits.' Nope. So you get a name which sounds like gibberish and highly unlikely to be real. A story of a past life that stretches credibility to say the least. And you wanted people to go 'oh wow! you talked to spirits!' which is clearly not the reaction you got. And those parts may just explain why you didn't get that reaction here.

So if you don't believe the spirits that you talked to via the ouija board you made because they are spirits and inherently untrustworthy I have a few questions for you. Why didn't you say that in your first post where such a show of skepticism may have garnered you different questions. And secondly, why would you pass on details of a conversation you don't fully believe? And lastly why did you seek to have a conversation with spirits if you don't trust a thing they say?

First of all, your post did not imply in any way that you were simply re-telling something. Your words seemed like you were taking it very seriously, hence why Min and I warned you that you can't believe everything you hear/see. Besides that, it was a suggestion. If you want to believe that a spirit communicated through a Ouija board with you and a friend, fine, that's your choice. We weren't "teaching" you anything. As always, you're free to believe and do as you wish. It was merely a suggestion because your post made you seem gung-ho in believing what you experienced. Sometimes it's better to err on the side of caution, which is all Min and I suggested. *shrug*

Who's oppressing you? We're just discussing what you posted about. OKP is not here to cater to anyone or their beliefs, and sometimes if you post something questionable you may get a little more heat than you bargained for. That's not to sound mean or be cruel, but to try to make sure people think about what they're discussing here. And in the long run, it's really just us asking questions, not telling you you're right or wrong. Ultimately, your experiences are your own. But just because you believe something doesn't mean everyone here is going to too. We're not mean or oppressive here, we're just up front and sometimes brutally honest.

Okay, you know what? I was wrong. You guys aren't oppressing me, but this person is. I do not appreciate your quirky little "I'm gonna tell you so" way of speaking to me. When I said I was going to "find out more" I simply meant I wanted to hear what it had to say. I know it was lying because I asked it some questions multiple times and got different answers to them.

Do not patronize me. You don't even know every bit of it, because I assumed I didn't have to put up every detail. This was intended to AMUSE. I never asked for people to go "Oh wow! You talked to spirits! -Back-pat.- That's sooo coooool, Tale_Chaser.". Please. I am NOT a child. Take your rude comments else-where.
