Oohkay…Merry Christmas *nods*
To be honest with you , in recent years I’ve really gone off the idea of Christmas, so I just don’t celebrate it anymore , its too much about money and material possessions…too commercial now , it has no heart .
I still buy a few gifts , send cards and put up a tree ..but that’s about it .
But anyway….ignore scrooge here * points to self *
Have you ever been writing out your cards …an wanted to express yourself a little more to really close friends and relations ?
Get some festive paper ( Red is a good colour ) and maybe a glitter or gold gel pen and write this on it …
There is a list of friends i know all written in a book
And every year at Christmas time i go and take a look
This is when i realise the names are just a part
Not of the book they're written in , but in my very Heart
Each name stands for someone who has crossed my path some time
And in that meeting they've become the rhythm and the rhyme
I really feel i am composed of each remembered name
A little bit of each of you will always with me remain
And while you may not be aware of any special link
Just meeting you have shaped my life much more than you might think
For once you've met somebody the years cannot erase
The memory of a pleasant word or the look of a friendly face
So never think my Christmas cards are just a mere routine
Of names upon a Christmas list forgotten in between
For when i send a Christmas card that is addressed to you
Its because your on that list of friends that I'm indebted to
For you are an Exemplar of many friends I've met
But you also happen to be one of those I'd prefer not to forget
And whether i have known you for many years or few
In some ways you have had a part in sharing the things i do
And every year when Christmas comes i realize this anew
The very best gift that that life can give is knowing friends like you
So may the spirit of Christmas that forever and ever endures
Leave its richest blessing in the hearts of you and yours.
Merry Christmas
From ( your names here )
Fold up the paper or maybe roll it up and tie it off with a little gold ribbon bow or something , just as long as it looks festive , pop it in the envelope with the card and send it off .
