Re: New and Slightly Shy
Welcome to the forum, I've seen a few Unicorns here and there in various places. Though not sure if any others are around here at the moment.

The monster I am is the reflection of you.
I am the flame and chaos ever reborn, a devourer to renew, unbalanced to cultivate, and beast of the world to feast upon all.
Give of your blood and spirit, or flee in cowardice.

Salutations
I think it's perfectly normal for an otherkin not to feel too akin to watered down story book versions of their kintypes. Dragon here, so i can totally relate to that.
This text might help you out a bit:
Dragons and Unicorns: A Natural History
by Paul Johnsgard (Author), Karin Johnsgard (Author)

I admit that i didn't pay too much attention to the unicorn half of it, but from looking threw i remember it covered different types of unicorns from other cultures and what not. you might relate more to one of their stories then the typical European ones.

Re: New and Slightly Shy
Cool, we were just talking about how rare it is to come across a unicorn kin. Welcome!

Re: New and Slightly Shy
There is (or was) an entire forum of unicorn kin, but it was full of drama, to put it mildly. I don't know if it still exists or what the URL was.

You've said that your kind of unicorn is not the same as the mythological one, or what other people think of when they think of unicorns - how so? What are the differences?
