NEEDLES IN THE SPINE!
Literally!
I just had 6 injections of analgesics into the vertebrae.
This is in an attempt to do something about my massive backpain.
If the injections reduce the pain then the cause (or contributing factor) in my pain is in all probability inflammations of the small muscles that connect the smaller bones to the larger bones of the vertebrae and such, which will mean that I am to get a new set of injections into the spine, this time with an anti-inflammatory-steroid.

Now, these 6 injections I had this morning, were the most painful thing I have Ever done.
Quite seriously!
I've had kidney stones and I've given birth, and this still.. Most Pain Ever!

I'm terrified of it helping, and yet,..

Re: NEEDLES IN THE SPINE!
Ahhh giant needles in place they should never go! Well...I hope it helps...but yikes. I suppose the relief they would bring would offset the pain of getting them.

Re: NEEDLES IN THE SPINE!
While I adore Chai and all, the medical profession just utterly CONFOUNDS me. And now that I'm working in an operating room as a secretary, it confounds me even more.

Why on earth would you think that jabbing sharp objects into an aching area would make it feel BETTER?!?

Cause those sharp objects are means to place a liquid into the area. It's the medicine in that liquid that do the job..

Re: NEEDLES IN THE SPINE!
Miniar, did they never give any local anaesthetic before the injections?

*facepalm* I believe I have asked an obvious answer of you. Even so.

Re: NEEDLES IN THE SPINE!
You have my utmost sympathy.
>_< Seriously, medical community, when are you going to realize there is an upward limit to what may be considered reasonable discomfort?!

Ouch! I can't even imagine! I mean, I can relate with severe back pain, but shots like that? Nuuu. <!-- sSad --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- sSad -->
