Momo and Chris's trip to Belgium [photos!]
I haven't embedded the photos into the post as there is rather a lot (I've actually missed some out) and I don't want to give anyone loading troubles. Therefore, I post links. ^^

From the 14th March to the 17th, Chris, I, around 30 other students and four teachers went to Tournai (in Belgium) via ferry and coach for a History & English trip. Our youth hostel was extremely basic and simple, but clean (I only have the one picture, and that's of the bed I slept on). However, the only real problem I'd had with the youth hostel was with their food - I wasn't very well that week (which explains why I look a bit tired or ill). Ah well!

We visited Ypres in Belgium, and watched the Last Post parade as well as visiting a number of museums and memorials and exploring the town. The nightlife in Tournai was quite pleasant from what I experienced of it (I went out on two of the nights but returned to the hostel after only an hour on one of the nights). I spoke the French I knew in one of the bars to order a drink and received two roses courtesy of the barman, which I found extremely flattering. So not only was it the first time I'd ordered at a bar (by the way, I didn't drink alcohol!) I'd ordered in French! xD

Without further ado, here's the picture-links:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/Prettysunset.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... sunset.jpg</a><!-- m -->
A really nice sunset I saw at around 6AM on the coach to Dover.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/PrideofKent.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... ofKent.jpg</a><!-- m -->
This was the 'Pride of Kent'. I took this picture through a window when we first boarded our ferry.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/Ontheship.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... heship.jpg</a><!-- m -->
And that's where I was standing when I took it.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/Doveragain.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... ragain.jpg</a><!-- m -->
Dover, from the ferry! ^^ Quite pretty, really, although it was a little overcast.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/Myyouth-hostelbedwithtoothbrushnwip.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... shnwip.jpg</a><!-- m -->
My youth-hostel bed. On there you can see my pink travel-pillow, my electric toothbrush and a pack of cleansing wipes (I was in the midst of unpacking, okay? xD)

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/HGWellsslab.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... lsslab.jpg</a><!-- m -->
A slab in a museum, with words from H.G. Wells carved into it. Above it, was this:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/Circularceilingphotodisplay.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... isplay.jpg</a><!-- m -->
... which I thought was interesting. A circular arrangement of photos suspended from the ceiling.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/ChrisandasleepyLishie.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... Lishie.jpg</a><!-- m -->
Chris n' I soon after. I look pretty flushed there, but it's a cute picture overall. <!-- s:oops: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_redface.gif" alt=":oops:" title="Embarrassed" /><!-- s:oops: -->

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/ChrisandTomoncar-ride.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... r-ride.jpg</a><!-- m -->
Chris and one of our friends on a car-ride!

Stone figures in the museum.

All these here are displays in a museum.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/MemorialBridge.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... Bridge.jpg</a><!-- m -->

A huge war-memorial bridge. On the last one you can just see our headmistress.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/MemorialPost.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... alPost.jpg</a><!-- m -->
Another memorial.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/Graves.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... Graves.jpg</a><!-- m -->

Graveyards we visited in Ypres.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/Photographsofphotographs.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... graphs.jpg</a><!-- m -->
Photographs of .... photographs! XD

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/Trenches.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... enches.jpg</a><!-- m -->

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/OurHeadofEnglishandChris.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... dChris.jpg</a><!-- m -->
The trenches, and the area around them. The last shot is Chris walking through the trenches with our Head of English following.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/statues.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... tatues.jpg</a><!-- m -->
I found this memorial quite moving. It was extremely tall, and very striking.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/lizziespoint/StatuefromUnderneath.jpg">http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/l ... rneath.jpg</a><!-- m -->
(When we were technically in Canada!) this was a statue standing atop a hill.

Aaand although I still look shattered and a bit dishevelled in general, I can't resist the cuteness of this shot:

Chris~ if you have more photos, feel free to put 'em here. ^^

Re: Momo and Chris's trip to Belgium [photos!]
I look much healthier in these shots I took just; but there was a roomful of people so I look a bit vacant. xD (Also, for my own reference and for anyone who's interested, both Blake and I are fronting currently.)

How can you possibly stand the level of cuteness you exude?
It has got to be dangerous. When harnessed, i can see it taking out at least a planet.
