Updates! The first coat of resin has gone on. It's not as tough as I'd like so I'm going to add another coat when I get the chance. There was a bit of a brush malfunction too meaning it's not even, but the second coat will help with that (and sanding later on will make everything good anyway).
Don't forget that safety gear! Family members were gardening nearby so I kept yelling "Can you smell anything? Can you? No? Good! Wait, come here . . . closer . . . can you smell it now? Yes? My mask is working, now go before you get cancer!"
Resin, early stages - the string is to keep the cheeks the right distance apart:

Late stages of resin:
So that first coat of resin is dry, and my little Magnetos wanted to say a proper hello to their new friend:
Also, bored and not wanting to seep, at 1am I thought "Why not make an Iron Man helmet, too?" So I started with the faceplate. As you can see from this, the paper "skeleton" is verrry squint. I think I can even it out some with resin though. It's a LOT more complicated than the Magneto one, so I'm not going to make one out of stiffer card yet - I'll resin this rough plate (if the resin doesn't dissolve it . . .) and see what happens, before making a better Mark 2.
And here's Magneto and Iron Man together, cunningly positioned so neither looks too much of a mess <!-- s
