For now, we've only got pictures of
one, because we didn't have much time to take pictures before we got it in the mail. Now that we're uploading to dA and all, hopefully that will give us a kick in the pants to go out and take pictures of our other finished objects, in better lighting.
We made this scarf for Elinox. We got the pattern for free online: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://aroundnround.blogspot.com/2006/12/cats-paw-scarf.html">http://aroundnround.blogspot.com/2006/1 ... scarf.html</a><!-- m --> - it's one version of cat's paw lace. (Of course, there are other animals with the same general paw print shape, which is why we chose it, but there seems to be a high correlation between knitting and cat ownership...thus the traditional name.)
We lost track of the yarn label during the course of knitting, so I can't tell you exactly what it is, but it's a sock yarn and we used the stated needle size without doing gauge, so it ended up being wider than the pattern states and that was fine with us.
And the close-up:
The reddish speck is probably rooibos tea. ^^; If you look to the lower left of the paw print nearest that, yes, there is a kitty hair. Pooka didn't get close while we were working on it but her fur mysteriously ends up everywhere.
