Kin with multiple forms
Different from the "other otherkin" or "Mixed category" are there otherkin that know what they are, but don't seem to have a fixed form, or simply have multiple forms? I'm not talking about shape shifting so much as several fixed forms.

I myself have several, both left overs from previous existences and forms for doing specific things. Aside from my past life forms I have an energy form (the seraph with wings and eyeballs form), 3 weaver forms, and two "person with wings" forms.

How about you all?

EDIT: To clarify as not to be too similar to another topic in the forum, the multiple forms are not representative of your "true" self, but serve functions (at least mine do) what functions does yours serve? Can you do some things in one form and not in another?

Re: Kin with multiple forms
I can freely shapeshift, although it IS easier to go with a series of fixed forms. Evolution has shown us that there are hundreds of types of bodies that work, simply because said bodies have survived for centuries. So yes, I could have five limbs- one of smoke, one of fire, one that is a giant blade, another that's a gun, and the final being flesh and bone- but I'd rather stick with a classic like a human form, or an oversized spider form, or a dragon form.

Re: Kin with multiple forms
I really just have two and a half. The first is just rather boring pure energy floating about with no shape in particular.

The half is just that same form, but given myself a bit of an intimidating shape, which was used to scare off any people who could see me (it was rare that people had the ability to look right at me, but still.) It looked sort of humanoid, but completely black, and I could make myself glow yellowish a bit for added intimidation.

The other form is just how I feel like. Maybe like a form I use to present myself to others and do all sorts of fun things, like dart around someone's campsite to scare them for my own amusement. That kinda thing.

Actually, I don't know whether I consider those actual forms, or just the things I can shapeshift into. It's all me, really.

Re: Kin with multiple forms
Interesting topic.

I have one true form, quite unimpressive and mundane, and one other form that is able to transverse the Naw or Za freely... (Think the Matrix- Neo has his 'true form' with the plugs in his neck, and he has his other 'true form' that can travel in the Matrix without the normal limits....Yeah, I hate using movie references too, but for simplicity sake...)

Feral Wrote:From what I know I can shape-shift an all that, but I also have multiple forms; From what I can tell these are things I've "eaten" in essence. As I mentioned previous in a place now gone, I do feel like I can return (as in get out of this context and flip the switch basically) to being the dragon species I was before.

This does not, I do not think, get into the different facets which make up this angel. [sup]*ponder*[/sup] (there is more but of no concern.)

One was for infiltration, two well wasn't for anything but has been used as a war form before; the dragon was a life (or perhaps is a, honestly I don't know what happened. "Dragon interrupted" perhaps.) um, an yeah...

Honestly I don't know about not being able to do something in one an not another; I cheat it seems and flip the as desired so... [sup]*shrug*[/sup] perhaps I never tried.

Um....I don't understand this at all. If you or anybody could straighten this into something resembling a coherent thought process, I'd be thankful. *bows* EDIT: Nevermind. I checked it again when I had a clearer mind

Re: Kin with multiple forms
even throughout myth. angels, dragons, fae, vamps, and many other 'imaginary' creatures (lol jk) have been very well known for changing form. it seems to be more a way to gain rapport with the receiver of the image than the giver as the forms have almost always typically related to what people have 'expected' something to look like or have served a symbolic purpose specific to the person 'viewing' (if one is an angel who gives/is giving omens...they probably won't appear as a care bear....but if they're speaking with a very young child, such a form may be the least stressful/threatening/conducive and so on). so it comes as no surprise that many kin find themselves easily able to shift in some manner, especially when it's 'job' related. (even 'god' turns into a burrito every now and then )

i personally find my personality/energy shifts quite dramatically around specific people. everyone's does, i realize this...the difference is that it corresponds with my empathy as i 'reflect' the person i'm with...almost instantly copying their personality/demeanor/etc. i learned, a few years back, how to disassociate empathic response from my own feelings/vibrations but it took some time. the least 'spiritually inclined' tend to barely notice me oddly enough. those that are 'thinkers' in some way tend to be drawn to me and see me as a bit of a sage/hippy hybrid (lol) and those that are more attuned pick out a more celestial 'air' to me....these are generalizations but prove mostly true.......the more open-minded people are, the more easily they're able to see who i am and the more drawn they are.

it seems the main difference between shape-shifting and altering one's image is how the image resonates. with enough practice most any of us can look like a wolf (our projections that is...be they dream/astral/telepathic image etc)...but to truly shape-shift, you have to 'feel' like a wolf...be in touch and communion to that spirit....completely engulfed in the form (at least that's my opinion, though i'm not really much a shaman). whereas if i appear as a care bear (lol) only my image would change...not the energy/identity.

at different (what i like to call) 'vibrations'...people may also change their appearance/energy. connect more with the earth, you may have an animal form. connect more with the lower world, you may take on a past-life form. connect with upper worlds, you get your stars/celestials and so on.......these are just rough examples of forms on my 'vibrations' rant.

just as i spoke on the body following the spirit/mind image (in a different post). sometimes the spirit becomes what the body/mind truly wants to accomplish.......so end my spiel, there's a menagerie of influences on spiritual form...IMO most involve intended job/demeanor/having a conducive 'image' to gain rapport with an individual. it's also worth saying that sometimes another's image of you will change what you seem like. again, images are more for others than ourselves...we know who we are.

blessings,
auriel

didn't want to ruin the powerful ending with a disclaimer lol...*most of us know who we are

fade in now into ambiguity, what once mere intangible now my senses align...rather do i myself lose, or is lost the world?
