Just a Wanderer Peeking In
Hello, I'm SoullessSingularity. I came here hoping to learn about others and myself.

I'm relatively new to the otherkin community, only having come across it in the past month or so. I identify as a creature that others have termed a Dreamwalker, a creature that lives in, consumes, and is made of dreams. I'm part of a multiple of three, though the other two rarely talk. I wouldn't be able to tell you my 'real' age since time is a confusing thing, but the body I'm in is around 18 years old so I guess I'm 18 years old.

As for hobbies, I like writing and hope to be a professional writer someday as unlikely as that will be. I also enjoy playing very little-known japanese indie games.

I hope I can get to know you all and not offend anyone here.

I recognize your icon from OKA! Welcome to OKP!

Can you describe what a dreamwalker is?

In the simplest terms, it is a creature that lives completely in dreams. They also consume dreams, in a sense, but it is more like incorporating the piece of a dream into itself. It doesn't really affect the dreamer... I think. At least, I didn't affect any of the dreams I ate. I think. They live their entire life drifting from dream to dream, gaining consciousness and awareness along the way. Eventually, they become too 'big' to fit into a dream, and starve to death. If they're not eaten alive by other dreamwalkers first, of course. They can look like anything, and I know that my appearance largely depended on the environment of the dream I was in, so I wouldn't stick out as I didn't like being noticed by the dreamer. There are a lot of them and rarely does a dream go unoccupied. They're just usually hard to notice.

Does that answer your question?

It does, thank you.

How do you, as a headmate, know when you're actively eating dreams of a separate entity? Since the others in your system aren't particularly active, do you ever eat their dreams to sustain yourself?

Well, I don't know anymore. I used to, because the only existence I had was in other people's dreams. At that point, it was instinctive knowledge that there was a specific dreamer, although I personally rarely interacted with the dreamer of any dream, just did my own thing instead. Now, I wouldn't really be able to tell my own dreams from the dreams of other people. That instinctual knowledge certainly no longer exists here, though I'm not sure why.

The other members of the system don't dream, so there's nothing to consume from them.
