Jeans!
Because I'm bored.

Inspired by someone commenting in some other thread that they can't get jeans to fit them - I have this problem as well, as apparently "athletic cut" is not something high street designers put their money into. That said I just discovered Superdry and oh my my, they fit like, errr, like jeans that fit. The store in town that sells Diesel has a sale on right now and a cursory glance showed a large rack of roughly my size, so I might have a butchers in there.

Anyone else, favourite brands or cuts?

And wtf is "boyfriend cut"? Did this just get invented? I'm seeing it everywhere.

Re: Jeans!
I'm a 28x32 jeans size, so it's a little tough to find jeans that don't either bunch horribly when I get a belt on or end at my lower calves.

I actually don't know. o_o I assumed it was a similar cut to a guy's jeans. Like a girl wearing her boyfriend's clothes. o_o

Thanks to Elinox for the banner!

Re: Jeans!
I usually wear my everyday jeans at least one size to big. My favorite brands are JNCO and Kikwear, I love large bottomed raver pants so comfy. At work I wear Levi's 505 in longs, they are one of the few women's jeans that fit me.

They are new and are one of I believe Levi's new 'special cut' jeans to come out. They are suppose to be a bit roomier like wearing men's jean, but still cut for a females body.

Re: Jeans!
I like skinny tapered jeans ^^ they make my rump look nice. I also love bell bottoms but they're a great deal harder to find now a days and I have to be careful, some pairs make my bum look huge and bunch up in all the wrong places.

Re: Jeans!
Even though I'm female, I prefer wearing guy jeans. They're more comfortable, not form-fitting, baggy and awesome! I go to the Vanity Fair outlets for my jeans since they sell a variety of brands for about $10 each. Brand name doesn't really matter to me, but I suppose Lee and Wrangler are good. I prefer to cut off the bottoms for 2 reasons: 1. I'm short and even a 32 is a bit too long for me and 2. I love the cut-off style.

Jeans were made for working in and hanging out in so they should be comfortable with lots of pockets! <!-- sBig Grin --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- sBig Grin -->

Re: Jeans!
I had these great Lee Cooper jeans aaaages ago, but they needed an extra inch on the leg to be perfect. I couldn't wear them with trainers or risk showing my socks, so they were boots jeans only, heh.

Levi 505, what cut is that? And what number are the Levi boyfriend cut, too? Must try out.

I used to wear Levis almost exclusively, I think my favourite men's cut was 512 (which I own in both loose for super comfy and tight for oooh what an ass) but I can't for the life of me remember what my favourite women's cut is.

Re: Jeans!
Isn't "boyfriend cut" or "boy cut" in relation to how low the waistline is? I can't remember! I know that boot cut is wider at the base (supposedly) and bellbottoms are wide all the way down, so I believe the boyfriend/boy cut refers to where the waist sits on you, which is lower than "normal" jeans. I think it has to be below the naval to count, but I'm not sure.

Re: Jeans!
Yeah but there are various different factors in a jeans cut - flare from ankle to knee, width from knee to hip, height of waistline etc. Jeans that sit below the naval are hipster but that's not a *cut*, because you can have skintight hipsters, baggy hipsters, bootcut hipsters, flared hipsters etc etc etc . . .

Re: Jeans!
Men's CK jeans are the only ones that work for me. I'm like Archer and have an extremely athletic build. Girls jeans make me look like like an ogre. Then again, if I have my arms showing (and this is the tropics), I'm an ogre anyway you look at me...Those low-riders...if I see another butt crack....*shakes her head*
