Introduction
The name I've used in the otherkin community is Selcar, and Sel has become as much the name for myself as my birth name now, so please feel free to call me that. I've been interacting with the otherkin community off and on for the last six or so years (always surprises me how long it's actually been). For the most part, I was only active in the online communities for the first year or so of being aware. Around much more in the offline communities. I've attended about half a dozen of the larger scale otherkin\etc gatherings - such as Kinnorth. And was a regular member in the Toronto otherkin monthly meet ups. "Was" because I have recently moved to Iceland and now living there - so that makes it rather hard to make the meet ups <!-- sWink --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- sWink -->.

After two weeks of peering over Freetha's shoulder at OKP and OKA, I've decided to make my own account to verbalize my own words, and so I'm accountable for them instead of someone else. I am not one of the community that performs a lot of research, but I have floated around many of them for some time, and would like to think I've picked up some knowledge on my path.

My world-view tends to be a rather mixed bag of little things, some influences of Buddhism and Hinduism, Heathenism, Solipsism. Interests lay in Northern Shamanism (Siberian, Teutonic), and a bit of everything else. Kin type is Celestial, I'll eventually get down to sorting that out more clearly, but I do not play it off as a large aspect of myself.

I'm straightforward, stubborn and always the skeptic. Nice ta'meet'cha.
