Incubi and Succubi
I'm a little dismayed at the lack of non-medieval-lore "information" about these particular demons..so, let's have a discussion!

What are your personal experiences as one, or with them? Have you met any kin of this type, if so how would you describe them?

Personally, I am part succubus (see avatar ^_^). As a succubus I feel very intertwined with my physical body- I am highly aware of what's going on in there, and I can usually spot a problem and fix it before it has a chance to develop into an illness. I'm very aware of my chakras and the energies immediately surrounding me (my own aura, and whatever energy is floating around).
I seem to have a natural charisma and instinct for the dynamics of love and relationships, so for that reason I often find myself being people's love guru/counselor. I'm also quite calculating, and very practical-minded.

As for the whole psychic/sexual vampire thing - Yes, I've had cases where (while shifted as succubus) I've literally drained men dry. I've had guys come to me afterwards, complaining of how they felt totally lethargic, listless, nauseous, and slept for as long as 2 full days. Fortunately for them, I learned to control it. However I don't consider my entire existence to be for the purpose of draining sex energy and propagating my species through astral rape.

I do find it easiest to astral project while shifted as succubus, and I've had cases of apparently sharing dreams with others (though not sexual ones).

Also, this bit might come off as fluffy but I feel it is a natural ability of the succubus and incubus. I call it glamour magick - the ability to, through whatever psychological or metaphysical means, appear as younger, older, or other slight differences such as eye color, etc. Obviously I can't grow wrinkles or change my skin color, but I have had a lot of experiences with people telling me I look younger or older than I am (depending on my mood, or how I wish to appear) and with well-known people not recognizing me if I don't want them to (without making any physical changes to my appearance). I believe this falls under the same category as "invisibility"- that is, making it so that others will overlook you as part of the scenery.

Similarly, there is no particular way I feel my "true form" looks. I am consistent that it is of humanoid female shape, but everything else - skin color and markings, horns, wings, tail, hooves or claws - changes around a lot. There are a few features that remain similar, but they are not constant...it's more like a general theme.

DISCLAIMER: This is my personal experience. I want yours, too, so we can compare notes.

Re: Incubi and Succubi
There are simple, more natural, physical things that one has the ability to do to gain the effect of a "glamour". Wearing one's hair a certain way, the style/color of clothes, and even personality, world view, mood. We communicate a great deal through body language, appearance and other non-verbal signals. I have done a great deal of personal experimentation (not documented, though I have the intent to begin collecting empirical data) regarding physical appearance, first impressions, and general socialization and I have learned that with a bit of cleverness and observation, one can "glamour" far more precisely without the use of magic, energy work or psychic ability.

Just something to consider.

I don't know that I've met a succubus or incubus before. (Maybe someone on the DarkKin board?)

Re: Incubi and Succubi
I have met several individuals over the internet who claimed to be some form of succubi *points to thread starter*, but none in person that I recall.
All I really know about them is the basic stereotype along with various different spins on that by a number of otherkin.

In person I’ve met someone who claimed to be an incubus. From that encounter I am half in and out of believing him.
I don’t because he didn’t feel like any sort of energy drainer to me (aside from maybe the energy given off by his videogames), Also it was quite clear that he was only saying he was one to get the attention of a girl I knew who identified as a sort of Fae otherkin. So basically, unless most incubi can be described as poser tools, he doesn’t fit so well.
Now, the reason I might be inclined to think differently is based on that I feel he is so hideous (both in body and personality), that the only way any women might have relations with him is if they were in a coma.

Re: Incubi and Succubi
Personally, I think incubi and succubi are fiction used to describe sexual dreams and sleep paralysis - they're no more real than demons that cause epilepsy.

That said, there are certainly eneergy beings out there that like/need sexually charged energy, and feed on it. I think there are a couple over ont he Dark Kin Forum, there's a link on the OKP main page.

Re: Incubi and Succubi
I've met a guy who had an incubus as part of his soul-fragment system, but the incubus is gone now.

At first, I thought he was full of over-dramatic, word-twisting, mind-games bull, but after actually seeing the incubus front for him, I was convinced.

At the same time, with him came a lot of drama anyway, so I didn't talk to him for a long, long time... and when we met again, he was just himself and the incubus had left.

And I don't about anybody else. I just see incubi/succubi as beings who feed off sexual energy. More like a sub-identifier than a primary one. You could be Fae, Demon, Dragon, anything, and then additionally feed off sexual energy. I don't see incubi/succubi being Otherkin in the sense that they are not human on their own, much like how Vampires aren't "technically" Otherkin.

Re: Incubi and Succubi
I've had a... "relationship" for want of a better word with someone I would call a Incubus. I only call him that because he was, to be frank, quite ugly not to mention his appalling attitude towards everyone (unless he was feeding off you, so he was nice to me and his girlfriend) but he exuded an all encompassing sexuality, and he fed of the attention caused by it as well as physical acts. The guy could get people to do the most ridiculous things simply by asking them to like he was asking for sexual favors.

Incubus works as a general term for him that most people understand. But it's just a label, like everything else. It/they exist so long as people fit the description.

sink into the mother's soil.
Then you see the truth in all,
'The Darkness is the Mother'
and fall...

Re: Incubi and Succubi
Okay, so no one so far but Simim believes in them. (EDIT: Sorry Soulwalker, didn't notice your post ^^Wink

I'm not really claiming, matter-of-factly, that the above relates to my being a succubus...just listing some experiences I've had that sort of would make sense if you thought about it.

I'm not hideous...at least I don't think I am. (anymore.)
The guy I met who claimed to be an incubus was, however, IMHO. He was overweight, cocky, and a complete asshole, not to mention overcompensating. Yet he seemed to possess an uncanny ability to seduce. Last time I checked up on him, he was on his fourth child (and mother)...so he's none too bright, either.
I would describe what he does as - figuring out exactly what an individual's "triggers" are and pressing them at the exact right moments. Most people develop a particular style, but he doesn't. He figures out what his next (victim?) wants and does that.

I agree with the sleep paralysis thing, but as far as I'm aware I've never caused that upon anyone. Maybe they were associating 2 things that shouldn't have been associated?

Also, I am not interested in joining a different forum just yet, I'm already on too many as it is and I never get to check them all <!-- sTongue --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- sTongue -->
But I will keep that link in mind.

Re: Incubi and Succubi
To clarify - I'm not saying that there are no entities that feed on sexual energy. I'm just saying that the concepts of incubi and succubi are, basically, an attempt by religious (Puritan?) folks to explain some normal aspects of human life that they found bothersome. In other words, fictional.

Re the very sexual but not obviously attractive people . . . I wouldn't say that necessarily means there is anything non-human about them. It just sounds like they are regular humans who, through body language, charisma, pheremones, and all that manage to be very seductive. It could be that they are sexual vampires in some form - or it could just be that they are seductive in an entirely mundane (by which I mean, non-paranormal/supernatural) way.

Re: Incubi and Succubi
My one ex (the same one we keep mentioning on this and other boards) claimed to be an incubus, but from what we understood that was because he felt it was the closest label archetypally, not because he literally believed himself to have that kintype.
