Identifying with more than one
I know I was a fae at some point, but now I am questioning being a possible faun at some point as well. During my "past life" meditations, I usually feel myself as a fae, but as of late, I've been feeling myself as some faun-like creature, and it feels even more comfortable than my fae form.

What is it like to identify with more than one type of 'kin? Do you feel more comfortable as one over the other(s)? After awakening as one type, is it like another awakening of sorts? Ack, I'm so new to this community...

Re: Identifying with more than one
For me, there isn't really a problem with preference. I like being a dragon while in a dragon mindset, and I like being a watcher while in that mindset. And each side respects the other.

And for your final question...I don't really know. My awakening doesn't seem to be like many other awakenings. Things just clicked, I updated my worldview, and I moved on from the experience. It happens pretty often to me, really.

I think you mean faerie. Fae is kind of like a genus and faerie would be the species. Fauns fall under the race/genus Fae.

Please forgive my ignorance: what's the difference between a faun and a faerie?

Well i'm mainly demon but i think i'm wolf as well. I'm awakening with a demon yet i think i've partly awakened as a wolf before i realised i was a demon. Its confusing but ...nice really, i feel like i'm compatable with both and they merge as one within me creating who i am.

Re: Identifying with more than one
Perhaps you are just narrowing down your kintype more If fae is the genus, then perhaps your specific species is faun

As for identifying with other kintypes, I totally understand where you are coming from. There are different parts of myself that feel demonic, while my true form looks more like an angel (well...minus the red eyes and fangs o.O), then there are times I feel more like a therian (my true form has an alternate animal form of a black panther), and even other times where I feel more draconic (I have no idea where that comes from o.<)

I'm thankful that I found other members of my race to help me walk through my awakening, otherwise I would still be very confused and bouncing around between angel, demon, vampire, and panther o.O

Just follow your instincts and you will be fine. If it feels more "right" to call yourself a faun, then perhaps you are a faun It could be just as simple as that

*evil grin* wouldn't you like to know

Re: Identifying with more than one
Trust yourself to find the right term, even if that right term means considering yourself more than one type of Kin.

I think the biggest mistake some of us make is wanting others to give us answers. While asking for input is laudable, just make sure that you put the instincts of your own heart first. One some level, you have all the answers. It's just a matter of listening closely to learn which answer is the correct answer - bearing in mind that it may be the correct answer now, but not forever.

"Someday after we have mastered the winds, the waves, and gravity, we will harness for God the energies of love; and then for a second time in the history of the world, human beings will have discovered fire." - Teilhard de Chardin

A Faun is sometimes also called a Satyr. The half man half goat.

Faeries, while we come in lots of different forms, are normally the humanoid creatures with wings and lots of glitter

Re: Identifying with more than one
Most beings are subject to mortality, and it is very likely for most people to have had multiple past lives. I'd say explore it, and that if you've already had a life as something other than Human, who's to say you didn't have two lives as something other than Human, and neither life was as the same being?

The maximum effective range of an excuse is zero meters.
