I'm an X-Man!
So there was I harmlessly on YouTube, when I came across this absolute literary gem.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kkc_Myyye20">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kkc_Myyye20</a><!-- m -->

And it suddenly occurred to me why I love Magneto so much! He's a bit of a nutcase, see, and so are his children, his in-laws, *their* families, versions of all of the above in alternate universes, etc etc etc etc. But of course, I come from a long line of nutters! I was stalked by a psycho ex (who actually stalked me for considerably longer than we actually dated!) and two of my four brothers are certifiable. And I, of course, think I'm a shadow with a bit of *another* shadow living inside my head.

Comic-Magneto makes enough sense some of the time that everyone can empathise. But this one?

"No-one tells me what to do!"
"Nobody may dare contradict me!"
"When I get angry, things begin to happen!"
"Magneto is a law unto himself!"
"The very sight of that sign offends me!"

This shit is straight out of the Archer Family Playbook! This isn't melodrama - as far as I'm concerned these are totally normal and valid things to say! Well maybe not the one about the sign and (so far) no-one's referring to themselves in the third person, but give it time.

We tend to find things amusing that we find familiar
