I had to have a bit of a think about this.
To clarify my coments, "T" is the older shadow who moved in to me; "S" is the person you normally see posting here.

T doesn't recall moving in. The best way I can explain it, is T was very much unconscious when he moved in, and he gradually woke up when he was already in situ. Likewise, before, during, and immediately after the transfer, S was very ill and not aware of what was going on. She was more concerned with not dying than with strange feelings in the back of her mind.

T has never engaged in any form of meditation or reflection whatsoever while living here with S.
He has no interest in energy work, astral projection, meditation, past life regression, or anything remotely esoteric. It might seem strange for a shadow, especially one who doesn't have a physical body of his own, but he is very much down to Earth.
When T is "fronting", he is aware of S's memories as a kind of background stream of information, something running without attention from him. S and T are co-conscious, so theoretically each has access to information the other has; but it's a bit like someone's diary sitting open on a table. You can read it if you want to, but you choose not to.
