Hi? (Sorry is a little shy)
Hi, I'm Sol de Grace, rather, that's the name I'd prefer to go by here.
Not one of those people that likes to put out a whole lot of information right away.
And I'm horrible with introductions so I guess I'll try to make this quick and painless.

I best identify with demon kin so far. Its the only word that really seems to fit what I believe myself to be but I'm also doing some research on vampyre, which I seem closely related to as well. I have varying abilities but most involve out of body experiences, such as dream walking, phantom sight, and astroprojection. I must have awakened at around age five but I still have a lack of control over most of my abilities. Still learning, and still asking questions. I really hope this site will help me learn a little bit about myself.

Yo and Welcome.

And by the by.. Vampyrism isn't a "species", it's a condition.

Re: Hi? (Sorry is a little shy)
Ah well, thank you for clearing that up for me.
I'm really kinda new to the otherkin kinda thing... I only recently
found out that there were even sites like this. Still have a lot of
learning to do in terms of otherkin and the differences between
each of them. In my area, if you're not human its taboo to talk
about what you really are. Its very discouraging to people who are
interested in learning about it, like myself. (Yay for having the
internet!)

Re: Hi? (Sorry is a little shy)
I'd like to believe so. I think as long
as we all have emotions we could be considered
human. What I mean by saying non-human, is that
...I guess I'm a little out of what they'd consider the
norm. And thus, not human to them.

Again, very discouraging place of living.
But I'm not so close minded, or in the least, I try my
best not to be cause its not right to discourage another
person's curiosity or beliefs.

Welcome <!-- sSmile --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- sSmile --> People can be cruel to those who aren't exactly like them, but regardless of what others say you're still human. Show them your DNA test results if they don't believe you. Since you self-admittedly have a lot to learn about this otherkin stuff, why do you believe you're otherkin at all, let alone demon-kin?

Re: Hi? (Sorry is a little shy)
I guess I believe that I'm otherkin because it truly feels right to me. I originally started research on it for a story I wanted to write and the more I researched the more I felt like I was reading about myself - how I felt, what I was experiencing or had already gone through. I felt a particular connection to the demon-kin and it felt all the more right to identify myself that way. I guess I could be mistaken but I'd rather learn more and find out than to rule it out completely.

Re: Hi? (Sorry is a little shy)
How did you come to the conclusion that people in your area aren't exactly friendly to non-humans? Did you tell strangers "Hi, I'm not human", or what?
