Hey!
Hello,
ok, so a little while ago my friend told me about otherkin, and it kinda made sense for me to be somehting like that. i read up on it, and thought that it sounded like me. i'm not sure exactly how long i have known that i am otherkin, but i never knew it had a name. i THINK that i am a huskey/wolf. i can sense it somehow. but, yeah, and as you can tell from the username, i love twilight. please dont hate me for that.

Re: Hey!
well, i was reading up on it, and it was talking about things you could feel, and most of the time, i felt that kind of stuff. like it was talking about if you get mad, you feel like you have claws, and want to claw things, and you want to bite, and i feel like that.

Re: Hey!
Hello! I'm a wolf therian myself and I'd just say not to rush anything. If you are otherkin then you always will be. Hopefully you have a long life to figure it out, and rushing will just hurt rather than help.

I think Seraphyna had a timeline (is that the word?) that I really liked:

Spend 6 months (at least) determining whether you are or are not otherkin
Spend 6 months (at least) determining what your kin type is (if you are otherkin)
And then there was something else that I can't remember

I discovered the term "therianthropy" 6 months ago and since then I've been trying to figure out if I AM a therian (otherkin with an animal as a kin type) with the idea that I'm a wolf therian. I went back and forth, with lots of doubt and lots of writing, and I'm still nailing it down for sure. Almost 98% (which, in cases like therianthropy, is basically 100%, since you can never be entirely sure).

But, I'm new enough on this forum that I still have a hint of the newbie shyness (that I get, anyway), so I'm just saying "Hi."

Re: Hey!
Aww, Amourosa quoted me sorta *blushes*. I'd just like to point out as well that the urge to claw, bite, whatever things when pissed off is pretty human. I mean, humans are animals too.

Re: Hey!
^__^ It's very good advice, Sera.

By the way, Twilight, I'm a fan of the books as well. You should check out the New Moon trailer, the wolf-forms are SO CUTE!! They aren't supposed to be, but they *are*!

Re: Hey!
I doubt people here will hate you for being a fan of Twilight. As long as you don't say you're a vampire like in Twilight you should be fine. Anyway, welcome to the forums.
