Hello inactive community
Hi, I'm Sesselja and I'm not a kin
I'm mostly interested in learning about your things (and I love phantom limbs...).
So...this is really inactive, huh?

I just...wanted to say hi but I don't know what I'm supposed to say now....

So, byee...

Re: Hello inactive community
Welcome to OKP!

We're still active, just...not that frequently. There are still members here, but it seems that many 'kin have moved on to either real life full time, or social media-type places instead. *shrug*

How did you find us?

Re: Hello inactive community
So, yeah. Mostly wanted to learn about what it is like to be a kin (I really don't know how to explain it).
I think I found this forum just by searching for otherkin on google xD. Anyways, I was really interested in phantom limbs and I have been wondering if it is possible to have them without being a kin (oh god why cant I speak)

Re: Hello inactive community
Sure, it's possible to experience phantom limbs without identifying as 'kin.

In my experience, it's similar to cameo shifting: it can be done through a conscious effort or it can just simply happen. In the case of trying to do it consciously, simply visualize a limb and the details associated with it: how does it feel connected to the rest of your body? Does it have weight? A temperature? Can you move it in your mind's eye? It's basically a form of using your imagination when you're trying to consciously do it.

Unconscious phantom limbs (and cameo shifts) tend to come on unbidden and the individual doesn't really have control over them: they just happen.

Hello Sesselja!

Welcome! It's been quiet, but sometimes people leave little things here for us to find.

Re: phantom limbs, there is a book by Robert Bruce called Astral Dynamics which details how to feel out your energy body, in the front section. From my studies, it's apparent that energy bodies may be pliable/malleable, though it seems most tend to have preferred forms, for some reason.

Hope to see you around!
