Hello! Akira's intro
Hello! I am Akira, or Shimimo. I go by either. I'm a 22 yr Old Non-Binary Transguy. I was referred here from the Therian-Guide forum, by Bubbles!

I am Kitsunekin, Shubunkin Goldfishkin, and Calico cat Kith. I am a practitioner of Shinto, Buddhism, and Witchcraft. I've know I was otherkin for nearly a year and a half now. Thank you for allowing me to join! Fox

Ah, mice to see you here! Glad you decided to join us!

Would you like to tell us a bit about how you discovered your kintypes, or perhaps the shifts that you get? Smile

Sure! I've always had a deep connection and love for Japanese culture, traditions, and beliefs. A fixation of mine as a child was foxes, specifically Kitsune. To the point of insisting I was one to anyone that would listen. Running on all fours and tying belts around my waist to mimic tails was a common occurrence. I didn't discover the term Otherkin until a witchcraft YouTube brought it up. And I knew immediately that this was my experience. Spiritually and Psychologically I am Kitsune.

My Shubunkin Goldfish Theriotype however is purely Psychological. I had Shubunkin Goldfish growing up, and plan to have more in the future. It is a lesser Identity but still one deeply important to me.

I experience mental, phantom, and sensory shifts most often.

Welcome to OKP, Shimimo!

How did you discover you Shubunkin Goldfish kintype? How is it lesser then your other kintype when both are things you currently identify as?

I discovered it most recently, after realizing my kinship with goldfish goes much deeper than simply a connection with them. At first I thought it might simply be a Kithtype, much like Calico cats. But after experiencing shifts that are far too aquatic to be Kitsune, and focusing on learning more about therianthropy, I realized it was a second identity, rather than a simple connection.

When I say, lesser, I don't mean less important. More like less often, shift wise, and not as deeply rooted in who I am as a person, personality wise. If that makes sense. It is still integrated into who I am, but it does not dominate my identity as much as my Kitsune Kintype does.
Thank you for the welcome, by the way! I am happy to be here.
