Hello.
Hello there. My name is Rayne, (or LadyRayne I suppose). I've been here for a couple months I think but Isort of deserted the Internet for a while. Sorry for not introducing myself before.

I came here out of curiosity mostly. This was the only active otherkin forum I was able to find. My mate and I were creating a whole website for otherkin but we both got to busy so now it's just... Sitting there until we can find the time for it again. Anyways. I came here hoping to find intelligent people with similar beliefs and whatnot (at least more so than myself because honestly, I'm not always that bright). I've read through some over the forum and I'm very pleased to find lovely, intelligent people. I was hoping to learn about the experiences of other otherkin. ;P

I myself am a wolf otherkin. Nothing terribly special but I've always felt a very deep connection to wolves and one day, a sort of realization hit me while at a festival in October. One of the booths had furs and the man had the paw of a wolf's fur. I felt upset at first and then on the way home, I kept wondering why someone would do that to my "family"... Then I had to stop and wonder why I'd thought "family" and that's mostly where it began for me.

However, I suppose I'm somewhat of a multiple. When I was 15 I'd had a very strong dream of a Catholic priest. Or... Well... A man dressed as a catholic priest. After waking up I couldn't quite let him go and I suppose he became my "imaginary friend"... I told a couple select friends about him after a few months and a few attempts at trying to "send him away" and having him come back in even stronger, more vivid dreams, and after awhile I started to realize how very real he felt. It was scary because I thought I was going insane. But soon I very much gave in and fully accepted him. Now... Here's where the confusion begins for me. He is not one that can take full control of my body, but in order to be able to speak to my friends online, I can go into a sort of translike state and I guess he can take partial control from there. I always thought of him more as a guardian though. The man's name is Tobias, (which means "God is good"). He says he is half-demon. Which... I dunno. I believe because he is someone I trust and have memories of from previous lives. Not many, but a few.

Around this time, last year, I had yet another vivid dream of a man and that's how I came to have James. He says he's full demon. I only have one or two memories of him but they sorta speak volumes.

The two of them are rather different. Tobias is rather elegant and refined. He speaks with an Irish accent. And James is rather rough around the edges and... Feral... Odd thing is though, when you dig a bit deeper, that's almost completely reversed with them both....

Bleh. Sorry, sometimes they're still a mystery to me. Haha.

Well anyway, that's me and a few things extra. I'll try not to let my thoughts run on so much in the future.

Welcome Why do you say that your headmates are in part or whole "demons" and what does "demon" mean to you?

Re: Hello.
Thank you for the welcome.

Seraphyna, a demon to me is an entity of more chaotic energy. For my "headmates" (and thank you so much for that word, that will be so much easier to use) they don't always follow "rules" but what they feel is right. I think demons can either be good or evil but, in some cases, can be more likely to be evil. I have come to lean toward the notion that some can shapeshift.

It's a rough explanation but I've been attempting at refining my thoughts so go may ask at a later date and get a far more easily understood answer. I can't always articulate my thoughts well but I'm learning.

Re: Hello.
Hehe. Thank you. Is it weird that welcome immediately made me think of the SciFi version of Wizard in Oz when DG was welcomed to the "O.Z."

Heh... My mind makes weird connections like that... Can't stop the completely random thoughts...

Re: Hello.
Welcome to OKP!

I have to ask because it confuses me, how is Tobias a Catholic priest but also a half demon? I'm thinking of it strictly from a Christian paradigm but wouldn't those two things be "against" each other?

Re: Hello.
Elinox, I hadn't meant to say that Tobias was a Catholic priest but that in the very first dream I'd ever had of him he'd dressed as one in order to more firmly capture my attention. He's not a priest in any meaning of the word. You're right though, he'd be a walking contradiction if he were a priest.
