Hay, hay, hay! :D
Wow, can't believe I haven't posted an introduction yet. Ah well. 'Ere we go:
I'm Samantha, but I usually go by J.C. on the forums and whatnot. You may address me as anything, I don't care.

I'm quickly becoming (or have I already become?) a forum junkie. I just can't get enough of this stuff. I've read good things about this place, so I decided to take a look. I'm not too active in any of the forums I'm a member of, but I usually have a bit to say about a topic or two. ;D

I have my interests posted up on my profile for now. I may move them into my intro tomorrow, but for now I'm sure if you really want to know what I'm interested in, you can check that out fairly quickly; or, y'anno...wait.

I love bands like Goo Goo Dolls, Maroon 5, Matchbox Twenty, and such. Can't get enough of 'em.

Lezee....hm. I'm a lesbian. I've been out for almost four years; been in a relationship for three. I usually identify myself as female, but about half the time I feel neither female nor male, more so when I was younger.

As for my kin type: I've slowly come to the conclusion that I am not a certain type. I believe I've had many lives, and each one has some permanent attachment to my "soul", or inner self. I've fumbled with the "omg wth am i?" for a while, and only did I just relax and leave it be did it come to me. Some of my lives were human, some animal. I have certain animals that I identify most with such as some canine species, deer, and a gargoyle-like creature* (this one made be think I was possibly demonic for some time). One of these may just be a totem animal, but I'm not going to worry too much about that.

I believe that my original form was angelic. This one's a bit hard to explain; and I'd hate to go by characteristics and gut-feeling, but this is the best way I can explain it for now. I'll start from when I was a child, about 4-6 I believe. I can name a few accounts of when I would suddenly black (or should I say white?) out, and I simply cannot remember ever waking up. My mother, nor anyone else in my family, can remember these accounts, but I sure can.

Another strange thing: I remember being over at my father's house (my parents have joint-custody over me; well, used to. I live with my mother permanently now) and we were watching a movie. For the life of me I can't remember what it was. Then suddenly, I see myself hovering over my body. My father is holding my limp body in his lap and he's crying, telling me to "just wake up". I hovered there for a few seconds, then I remember the sensation of being pulled toward the ceiling. I drifted further and further away from my body....then nothing. I can't remember anything after that. I know, it seems like that could possibly had been a dream. But, I know it wasn't. It has stuck with me since then (I was approximately 4), and it baffles me to no end.

Now on to characteristics and some accomplishments; and trust me...I know. You cannot claim yourself Otherkin by your traits, but I thought I'd just a'throw these in:

I:
-cannot say no to someone. (I've trained myself to do this occasionally)
-have a very motherly nature towards everyone.
-have saved someone's life (and I mean this quite literally) over the phone. (I've only met her in person one, for two weeks. This was recently.)
-crave helping people, especially being their shoulder to cry on. (By crave, I mean like someone craves food.)
-hate going to public places because I can "feel" people's character.
-am very "spirit-sensitive". (The spirits in my house tend to go after me more often than the others.)
-believe I am spiritually and mentally older than my current age.
-believe my purpose in this world is to save people. (Save them from sabotaging their futures, saving their lives, etc)
-have phantom wings. (I know: Wings doth not an angel make. )

I know very well this could all just mean I'm a good-hearted person. But, I'm not saying I'm angelic because of my character. I'm saying, my spirit comes with these characteristics installed. Oh, I hope that made sense.

I feel I may be angelic. It fits; it feels right. Also, I know I am here for a purpose (or maybe a few), and I may have already found it. I helped my girlfriend turn her life around entirely. She was spiraling down into her own self-destruction, and I pulled her out of it. I believe that I'm her guardian, that helping her turn her life around was one of my goals-from-birth, one of my purposes. If you don't believe it, that's perfectly fine.

I believe that's a semi-decent intro for now. Ha. I've noticed I've never written an introduction when I'm clear-headed and awake; always when I'm exhausted. I apologize. Feel free to ask questions, throw miscellaneous food items at me, whatever.

Oh, and if you've made it this far: thanks for reading.

*Edit: I'm starting to think this is actually a Faun, er...morph?

Looking forward to having you about
you seem like fun (the awesome scrubs icon helps). Go fourth and pick apart our angel section. There's tons of stuff in there to relate with or completely disagree on. Either way your feedback will be welcomed.

Ah the factory settings. Did your radio come tuned into a polka station? Just joking around. Welcome and safe pathes.

I'm afraid I don't understand the first paragraph I quoted here. Do you mean your mother and family don't remember it now, or they never saw this happen? What do you mean by 'never waking up'?

What did your father say about the latter situation? If you were indeed limp and unconscious, did he take you to a doctor or call an ambulance?

I'm somewhat interested.

I've asked my mother, and she says she doesn't remember. I mean I don't remember waking up afterwords. Did I forget to put that there? I apologize if I did.

I haven't been able to ask my father about it because he isn't around. I've only just recently been able to talk to him. He calls me every once in a while and sends me letters. I'll be sure to ask him about it. I wouldn't be able to tell you what happened afterwords, because I don't remember.

Welcome, JayCee (although I'm not too sure I'm fit to welcome you here, anyway).

You've grabbed my interest quite a bit. I'm anxious to see how you develop here.

Re: Hay, hay, hay! :D
With the subject line I thought we were welcoming Fat Albert! Though I suppose I'm one of the few who grew up watching that on Saturday mornings.

Yay! Factory settings! They do get to be a pain at times, don't they, especially the part about wanting to please everyone. It's no accident that my spirit guides have all been trying to get me to stand up for myself and even rebel a bit. I think they've done a pretty good job of it. In other words, anyone can change if they really want to and work at it. I'm still a goody two shoes at heart, even when I am kicking butt. Of course kicking butt is also a 'factory setting.'

Hey, maybe we're not really angels but actually Cylons! Or Borg!
